Fridtjof Nansen Fridtjof Nansen (186 1 year ~ 1930) is a Norwegian scientist. 186 1 year1October 10 was born in furlong near Kristiania, Norway, and his father was a famous lawyer. /kloc-moved to Oslo with his parents when he was 0/5 years old. 1880, Nansen was admitted to Kristiania University (now the University of Oslo) to study zoology, and was later hired as a professor of zoology by the University of Oslo.

Nansen is a famous Norwegian explorer and oceanographer. June 24th 1893 set sail from Oslo, sailed for the Arctic Ocean, and returned to Norway on August 3rd 1896. Completed more than three years of arctic exploration. He also collected a lot of valuable information about the Arctic Ocean current, ice floes, hydrology, temperature and marine life, and published the book 1897 Crossing the Arctic Ocean. His main works include: Oceanography of the Arctic Ocean, Sounding Characteristics of the Arctic Ocean, Fog in the North, and Journey to Spitsbergen Islands.

Nansen's political activities began at 1905. 1906 was appointed as Norway's first ambassador to Britain, 1920 negotiated with the Soviet union to solve the problem of repatriating prisoners of war as a high-level Commissioner. He is a pioneer in international refugee affairs and has made outstanding contributions to solving the problem of refugee migration or saving refugees, which is praised by the world. Because of this, he won the Nobel Peace Prize with 1922. 1930 died of heart disease in Oslo on May 3, at the age of 68.
