How do opera actors practice their voices?
How do they make that metallic sound, such as shouting and hanging their voices? They have been practicing since childhood, and then the survival of the fittest. I know a professional opera actor, and I can't stand it. He recorded songs with the most common microphone and CE software which cost tens of dollars. Most of us record songs directly. The voice is very dry, and we have to deal with it, but it is good that his voice is not processed. Very penetrating. I don't think there is any flaw in his dry voice without accompaniment. If you use a good condenser microphone, this may not be the case. The better the microphone, the better the details, the harder it is to sing. Personally, some people say that Beijing opera actors bend over to practice their voices in water tanks. What is the scientific basis? I have never heard of it before. I felt a little dizzy when I heard it for the first time today.
