Experience sharing of successful continuation of DIY master in Canada
From applying for school in September last year to receiving Xiao V on the 22nd of this month, everything finally settled. Finally, from the initial ignorance and seeking answers everywhere, I also have some experiences to share with you.

Applying for a student visa is different for everyone. My experience is mainly to get a master's degree or a doctor's degree. I hope I can answer some questions for you.

detailed list

1, physical examination form obtained from the previous physical examination.

Regarding the physical examination process, many friends have shared it, so I won't go into details here.

2. Three visa photos

I would like to remind all my friends that I paid a visa to VAC on April 2nd. At that time, I used a photo taken when I applied for a passport last year. Therefore, the staff carefully calculated the time from taking photos to paying visas. It happens to be the sixth month. Because the photo was about to expire, the staff refused to accept my application and asked me to take another photo and hand in my visa on April 6. Therefore, friends who want to use the same photos as passport photos should calculate the time.

3. Public documents of high school transcripts and high school diplomas.

These two things are highly controversial. Some people say that it is unnecessary to apply for graduate students, but since the list given by the embassy is listed and it is not indicated that graduate students may not need it, I think it is better to apply for insurance. It is nothing more than going back to high school and spending hundreds more on notarization fees. You'd better do everything well. Now is not the time to save money and be lazy.

In addition, a friend asked me for a template of high school transcripts. I don't have a template. I just went to the class teacher to open it for me in high school. It's just a student card with the final exam results of three years in high school written on it.

4. University transcripts and certificates.

These two items are also controversial. Many people said that it was handled when they applied last year, and the stamped version of the school should be enough. On this point, I agree with the third point, that is, spend hundreds of notary fees for peace of mind.

Before notarization, you need to go to the school to open the latest proof of study and transcripts, including the transcripts of the last semester of the senior year. You can't directly use the transcripts of the first three years when you applied for the school last year. Of course, friends with degrees don't have to worry about this. Only the original Chinese can be notarized, and the notary office does not recognize the translation version of the school, so they have to earn translation fees. Again, now is not the time to save money.

5. No proof of criminal record

When I handle it, I first go to the notary office to get a form, then go to the college to ask the file teacher to bring up my file, help me fill out the form and stamp it, then go to the school security office to stamp it, then go to the police station where the household registration is located to stamp it, and finally return to the notary office with the form stamped with three chapters. This process may be slightly different in different places.

6. The official admission notice issued by the school and its copy.

The admission notice indicates the length of the project, tuition fees and funding.

7.IMM 1294 Form, Family Form and Education and Employment Details Form.

I filled in the form by hand, mainly referring to the relevant contents of the Leap manual and the version of Zhang Wuji's sample. Put a cross in all the boxes.

When I went to hand in my signature, the staff said that I should fill in the form IM 1294 with my spouse or common-law partner and children, and fill in my parents. I wonder if this is really a requirement. Just sign all the signature places in Chinese (this is what VAC staff said, in short, Chinese signatures must be available).

Regarding the tuition, accommodation and other fees, I asked Xiaomi by email, and she sent a school website for reference. In short, the purpose of this part is to make the funding you get cover all the expenses.

8. Study plan

Before writing the study plan, I consulted some templates. After consideration, I think it is the same as PS. I want to write personal and professional. Although I don't need to be as professional as PS, the content should be written in combination with my major, and I can't talk in general. Attached is my study plan for your reference.

9. Address bar

When I applied for school last year, I bought self-adhesive label printing paper on Taobao, and there was a lot left. So I also used this kind of self-adhesive label printing paper when I made the address bar. Please refer to the Leap manual for the format of the address bar.

postscript

Regarding the question of whether full scholarship graduate students need to apply for property certificate, I think the amount of funding MINUS tuition is more than 1W, and there is no need to apply for property certificate. I felt uncertain before I handed in my signature. All the materials look so thin together, I'm afraid 1000 will be rejected because of insufficient funds. To this end, I specially sent an email to Xiaomi, and then Xiaomi enthusiastically helped me find a schoolmate who entered school last year. After consulting my senior sister, I learned that she got Xiao V with confidence only by relying on the official admission notice of the school last year. As for the formal admission notice, it will be said that the specific amount of the scholarship and the continuation of the scholarship depend on the future performance. Don't worry about this, because this sentence will appear on everyone's official admission notice. It is equivalent to requiring all applicants to successfully get a degree, and the GPA in the last year meets certain requirements before they can enter the school. For all friends who have won the offer, especially those who have won the UT offer, take it easy. According to senior sister, none of the people who won the UT full prize were rejected by 1000. Everyone should believe that Canada encourages Kochi immigrants. With a good background and an offer from a good school, you don't have to worry too much about the visa. Of course, if you have a deposit with sufficient term and amount, you'd better make a title certificate, which is more likely to be signed. In short, visa officers need to inspect: 1. Whether the applicant has a reasonable reason to go to Canada (for example, to pursue further studies and work) requires the school's admission notice and the reason why the study plan chooses to study in Canada; 2. Does the applicant have sufficient funds to support all expenses during his stay in Canada?

On the question of physical examination, my experience is that the preliminary physical examination is really fast. Ha ha.

In addition, my little experience is to prepare according to the list given by the embassy, and the documents I submitted are only required by the list.

DIY visa processing needs to run many departments, and many contents have never been understood. I think this is a good exercise process. After all, after going abroad, you have to rely on yourself to prepare visa materials in China, so it is natural to study and handle them yourself. In my opinion, if it is troublesome to apply for a student visa in China, you need to find an intermediary. Who can you find to handle all kinds of trivial matters after going abroad? The above is just my humble opinion, and I don't mean to offend friends who want to find an intermediary.

A friend asked me about the scholarship. Now let me explain. The formal admission notice indicates that the funding guarantee is 20 months, and then the funding amount for the first year is given. About the funding for the second year, that is to say, it depends on performance.
