First-class hero Qiu Shaoyun --- a native of Tongliang County, Sichuan Province, joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army in December 1949, and was a soldier of the 9th Company of the 87th Regiment of the 29th Division of the 15th Army of the Chinese People's Volunteers.

On October 12, 1952, during the counterattack on the Pingkang front line in North Korea to capture the 391 Highlands west of Jinhua, his company served as an assault mission. Before the war, he and his company comrades were ordered to perform a lurking mission only 60 meters away from the enemy's position. However, before lurking until noon the next day, he was unfortunately hit by an incendiary bomb from the enemy. At this critical moment of life and death, for the sake of the whole and for victory, he endured the severe pain of burning his body and sacrificed his young life motionlessly. He was only 21 years old at the time. His sacrifice ensured the successful completion of the company's latent mission. Inspired by Qiu Shaoyun's great patriotism and internationalist spirit, the counterattack troops successfully captured Highland 391 that night and wiped out a reinforced enemy company.

Based on his application and performance during his lifetime, the Party Committee of the Army posthumously recognized him as a member of the Communist Party of China. The leadership of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army honored him with posthumous special merit and awarded him the honor of “First Class Combat Hero of the Chinese People’s Volunteers.” title, and was awarded the honorable title of "Hero of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea" and the First-Class Flag Medal of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the Gold Star Medal.

Super hero Huang Jiguang---a native of Zhongjiang County, Sichuan Province, joined the Chinese People's Volunteers in April 1951 and was a correspondent of the 2nd Battalion of the 135th Regiment of the 15th Army, 45th Division. He joined the Chinese Democratic People's Liberation Army in July 1952. Member of the Communist Youth League.

On October 19 of the same year, during the battle of Sangganling in Jinhua County, Gangwon Province, North Korea, he stepped forward and requested to blow up an enemy's central firepower point. When they entered 30-40 meters away from the fire point, one comrade died and another was seriously injured. His left arm was penetrated. He endured severe pain and continued to move forward despite the crazy fire from enemy machine guns. As he crawled and approached the enemy's fire points, he threw several grenades in succession, but failed to blow up all the enemy fire points. With no ammunition around him, he resolutely jumped towards the enemy's firepower point, sacrificing his life to block the enemy's machine gun fire, and quickly eliminated the enemy for the counterattack troops and regained their position. He died heroically at the age of 21.

The leadership of the Chinese People's Volunteers honored him with special merit and awarded him the honorable title of "Super Combat Hero of the Chinese People's Volunteers".
