1. The subject of the contract is unclear.
It should be noted that when signing a contract, the identities of Party A and Party B, including their names and contact information, should be made clear first. Some decoration companies require the owners to fill in very detailed information when signing the contract, but when they sign it, they just put a stamp on it. In this case, the owner must ask the decoration company to sign its complete company name, and confirm whether the signed company name is consistent with the stamped company name. If not, ask them to explain the relationship between the two and write it in the contract.
2. Incomplete written documents
The construction contract is not only a contract, but also the project budget approved by both parties and a complete set of decorative construction design and construction drawings are effective components of the construction contract. However, some owners may not have completed the above three elements when signing the contract with the decoration company, and they cannot seek legal protection because of the problems caused by incomplete documents after signing the construction.
3. The increase or decrease is not included in the contract.
It is very common to add items to decoration projects now, but it is not normal in fact. Because the decoration company initially pressed the quotation very low in order to get the owner to sign the bill, and then added a little bit during the real construction, and then the owner had no chance to go back on his word and could only add one item. In order to prevent this from happening, the owner should check whether the construction area and construction projects on the quotation are reasonable before signing the contract, and carefully increase or decrease the projects.
If there are additions or deletions in the construction process, the construction contract must also be changed, and the owner needs to negotiate with the decoration company to change the construction period, budget and drawings related to the project.
4. The material supply is not confirmed.
When the decoration company gives advice to the owner, it will generally let the owner choose the decoration method that the decoration company provides some decoration materials and the owner buys some materials. In this case, both parties are responsible for the materials. The owner needs to provide the decoration materials on time, pass the acceptance of the decoration company and go through the handover procedures. The decoration company has no right to change the materials provided by the owner without permission. There is something wrong with the materials, which should be replaced and supplemented in time. The owner of the materials provided by the decoration company should also accept them. The owner should check the materials with the quotation provided by the decoration company. Once the problem is found, he can ask the decoration company to replace, redo and compensate.
5. The project acceptance is not careful
The biggest problem to pay attention to in acceptance is that the contract generally stipulates: "If the consumer uses the completed project in advance or uses it without going through the acceptance formalities, the consumer shall be responsible." Therefore, the owner must carefully check and accept after completion. Once quality problems are found, he can ask the decoration company to rework. If it can't be completely repaired, you can ask the decoration company for compensation. If some projects are difficult to find problems in a short time, both parties can agree on a reasonable period as the warranty period.
