During the internship in the hospital, according to the careful arrangement of the nursing department, we took turns to practice in operating room, surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics and other departments.
The first stop of my internship is the operating room. Our internship time is only two weeks, but as it is the first department of internship, I am full of curiosity and expectation. When I first walked into the operating room, my mind was blank and everything seemed so fresh. When we first went, the head nurse arranged a teacher for us. The teacher first led us to familiarize ourselves with the environment here, and then explained the working nature of the operating room to us. In the first few days, I still felt strange and puzzled. As a student, I feel either standing or sitting. Fortunately, my tutor is very kind to me, explaining everything to us and letting us do some things. Slowly, we became familiar with the procedures here. During these two weeks, we have carefully studied the knowledge about the operating room, understood the working nature of the operating room, got familiar with the items and special instruments that need to be prepared for each operation, and mastered its basic operation methods. Can skillfully and accurately operate aseptic operation techniques, such as wearing sterile gloves, taking off surgical gown, and correct hand washing methods. However, due to the short time, I don't know much about the names and uses of some surgical instruments, which is really a pity. Because this is the first internship, the hospital is very strict with us and won't let us do clinical surgery.
The second department is neurosurgery. Although I have worked as an intern in a department, I am still a stranger because of my completely different nature. The strangeness of the ward.
This is our first internship in the ward. Internship in the ward is completely different from internship in the operating room. The patients and their families are the most exposed here, so the requirements for us are different. Practice in the ward should be careful everywhere, and the requirements for answering patients' questions are even more strict. It can be said that we are walking on thin ice.
Internship in the ward, because I am a student, I can only walk around the ward at first and rest in front of the head nurse and the tired teachers in the department. I feel really tired and tired, and my whole body aches. I went back to my apartment after work, and I just slept. Physical and mental exhaustion.
When I first entered the ward, I always felt at a loss At that time, I was in a relatively unfamiliar state with nursing work, and I had no idea what I could do in such a new environment. Fortunately, we have a teacher to introduce the ward structure, the work of each class and the rich experience of the teacher, which makes us adapt to the nursing work of various departments in the hospital quickly. Being able to adapt to the hospital environment as soon as possible has laid a good foundation for future practice and work in the hospital, which should be regarded as a harvest in the internship stage: learning to adapt is to integrate into the new environment and grow and survive in it.
With the pace of time, the environment becomes familiar, and learning gradually enters the formal track. In the ward internship stage of various departments, the most familiar ones are various diseases and their commonly used therapeutic drugs, such as the usage and dosage of drugs. Master the basic operation of all kinds of nursing.
The biggest and ultimate goal of practice is to cultivate good operating skills and improve the ability of nursing work. Therefore, under the teaching principle of "let go, don't look around, don't worry about looking around", actively strive for every exercise opportunity, such as catheterization, stomach tube insertion, bed bath, oral care, intravenous infusion, muscle injection and other basic nursing operations.
I know that the job of a nurse is very heavy and messy. Although I felt something before I entered the clinic, I really felt more deeply after I entered the ward. Indeed, the work of nurses is very fragmentary and messy, which can be said to be humble, but through the incomprehension of most people, we find that nurses have their unique charm. Hospitals cannot live without nurses, which shows the importance of nurses. Doctors can't do without nurses, patients can't do without nurses, and the whole environment can't do without nurses. This kind of trivial work has a complete system, which can be described as "the sparrow is small and complete", and it is precisely because of this that it can play its unique role and produce an indispensable role. Because of clinical practice, I have a more comprehensive and profound understanding of nursing work and a more detailed understanding of this industry. The second gain from entering the clinic is to correctly understand nursing, establish correct professional ethics and develop a good working attitude.
This department is a turning point for me. It taught me a lot, let me know that as a nurse, I should not only learn the most basic acupuncture, but also know many things such as catheterization, enema, sputum aspiration and nasal feeding.
In the following months of internship, I learned a lot and added some new ideas and feelings. In my opinion, the profession of nurse is ordinary but great. A good nurse should have good moral and professional qualities, be patient, careful and bold. Nurses will be respected by patients, but they will often suffer indignities and suffer losses, but they should also smile at patients. The head nurse often teaches me that we nurses are also in the service industry. Even if we are tired and angry again, we should always have a smile on our faces. At first, I didn't care about this sentence, and even felt a little disgusted, but now in several departments, I heard that I was very busy and tired. But I am still looking forward to it. After all, I can learn something, which is my purpose. In the later department, I just felt different. I am busy, full and have learned a lot. Both the teacher and the head nurse patiently taught me knowledge and taught me bit by bit in practice. All the patients in this ward need absolute bed rest, so our work is also tired, and sometimes the work of family members is difficult to do. During the night shift, the patient should turn over regularly to drain the back and suck sputum. In these nine months, I feel that I have grown a lot. I feel that the burden on my shoulders is suddenly heavy, and I understand that nurses are responsible for patients and themselves.
