The application of 1 digital certificate involves three subjects: electronic signer, signature relying party and third-party electronic certification service organization CA. CA is the core institution for issuing and managing digital certificates, and it is the basis for expanding the trust chain of online trading system. Because of their trust in the authority and the third-party CA, both parties trust the holders of digital certificates issued by the CA center and establish a mutual trust relationship. A third-party CA can avoid risks for both parties to the transaction. When online transaction disputes occur, the third-party CA provides data justice, provides a basis for law enforcement and arbitration, and truly protects the rights and interests of all parties to the transaction. The People's Republic of China (PRC) Electronic Signature Law and the Measures for the Administration of Electronic Authentication Services, which came into effect in 2005, have clarified the legality of electronic signatures, stipulating that in the services similar to online banking provided to the public, a legally established third-party electronic authentication service institution must issue a digital certificate to provide security authentication services.
