The Italian poet Dante said: "A person with incomplete knowledge can make up for it with morality, but a person with incomplete morality can hardly make up for it with knowledge." Today, we don't discuss which is more important, morality or knowledge, but I believe that what our country and nation need most is moral intellectuals.
Our Chinese nation has always advocated morality. Both Confucianism, represented by Confucius, and Taoism, represented by Laozi, regard noble morality as their highest realm. Su Zhe, a scholar in the Song Dynasty, once wrote: "Philosophers are good at writing and thinking deeply. I think that the shape of a writer's qi, but the text can not be learned, qi can be raised. " This shows that morality is the basic principle of being a man.
How to be a moral person? Personally, we should first do "don't do small good, don't do small evil." Liu Bei once taught his son this way during the Three Kingdoms period. If we can start from the small things around us and be strict with ourselves, then every time we do something, our moral level will be sublimated. Step by step, even thousands of miles; Streams converge to form rivers and seas. We should be good at starting from the big picture, focusing on the small picture, starting from the big picture, and never be small but useless.
To be a moral person, we should pay attention to cultivating our own moral concepts and the unity of knowledge, emotion, will and action. We can't just talk about motivation regardless of the effect, and we can't just judge its good or evil according to the effect. We should pay attention to moral cognition, handle the relationship between knowledge and practice, pay attention to the exercise of actual behavior, and enhance moral emotion and willpower in practice.
Throughout the ages, things have changed. Although times have changed and times are changing, the importance of moral construction has not diminished, but has increased day by day. Our party and government attach great importance to the construction of citizens' morality. People often say: morality is a stone, knocking out the fire of hope; Morality is fire, which lights the lamp of hope; Morality is a lamp that illuminates the road of life; Morality is the road, leading people to glory.
Let us consciously be propagandists, practitioners and defenders of moral construction from now on, and be moral people.
