Comrade Wang Xiliang was born in January 1921 in Yixian County, Anhui Province. In 1956, he entered the China Light Industry Ceramics Research Institute. In 1959, he was awarded the title of "Ceramic Artist" by the Jingdezhen Municipal People's Government. In 1979, he was awarded the title of "Chinese Arts and Crafts Artist" by the Ministry of Light Industry. He was the first batch of people in New China and the first person in Jingdezhen City to win this honor.

In 1987, he was awarded the title of senior arts and crafts artist. In 1992, he enjoyed the "Special Government Allowance" issued by the State Council. In 1994, he was awarded the "Ceramic Family" by the Jingdezhen Municipal Government. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association and has successively served as chairman of the Jingdezhen Art Workers Association, member of the fourth and fifth sessions of the Jingdezhen Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference, and member of the sixth session of the Standing Committee.

Artistic Creation
