1. Sign a confidentiality agreement (8:2-9:55 is ok)
In any examination room, you have to sign a confidentiality agreement. The format is very simple, that is, copy a passage with a pencil or signature pen (according to the requirements of different examination rooms) and then sign it. There are samples in the examination room for reference. At this time, you can usually look at the machine sutra and eat something.
2. Check in the examination room (8:4-9:55)
After signing the confidentiality agreement, you should hand in the confidentiality agreement and then be given a key, so that you can put your personal belongings in the corresponding locker, and mobile phones are forbidden to enter the venue. You have to take your passport or ID card to take photos, and then the computer will randomly assign a seat so that you can take a pencil and draft paper to the exam site.
Examination
3. Enter the examination room (8:5-1:)
The examiner will come to check the basic information. If the information is confirmed, the candidates can start the examination themselves. There will be a hardware test (headphones, microphone) before the exam. Candidates need to answer an oral question: describe the city you live in. You can answer this question fluently, and try not to read this question mechanically, otherwise it will cause interference to others. I usually secretly write down the oral template at this time and then I can read it. After the hardware test, the exam officially began.
When answering questions
1.Reading Section
In the first reading test, candidates have 2 minutes to finish one article, and then 4 minutes to finish two articles. After that, there will be either two additional test questions, that is, two articles repeated for 4 minutes at a time, or listening parts.
2.Listening Section
The listening test is based on the set. Normally, you will get 2 sets without extra test, and if you take extra test, you will get 3 sets. Each set contains a dialogue (5 questions) and 2 lecture(6 (6 questions), so each set will have 17 questions. It should be noted that the time for answering 17 questions is ***1 minutes, and many people will run out of time in advance in the examination room. Please pay attention.
Generally speaking, candidates will have an additional reading test or an additional listening test in an exam, and the probability of having an additional reading test or not is very small.
3. Take a 1-minute break in the middle
After listening, candidates enter a 1-minute break, which is mandatory. Candidates need to leave the exam room to rest outside and go to the bathroom, but some exam rooms are allowed to read materials, while others are not. I can take the exam twice in Nanchang, but I won't let them take the exam in Wuhan.
4.Speaking Section
There will still be a microphone test of spoken language before the beginning of the speaking part, and the test topics are as mentioned above.
There are 6 questions in the oral part * * *, and the total time is about 2 minutes. Simply speaking, there are three types of questions:
A. The first question and the second question are independent answers. Candidates have 15 seconds to think and then 45 seconds to answer. The question will be read aloud and will appear on the screen.
B. Questions 3 and 5 are paraphrased topics. Candidates have 3 seconds to prepare and 6 seconds to answer questions. The topic requirement is often to summarize the speaker's point of view implied in the reading materials.
C. Questions 4 and 6 are based on the listening materials in the exam and require candidates to answer related questions. Candidates have 2 seconds to prepare and 6 seconds to answer questions.
4.Writing Section
After the oral English test, first, comprehensive writing is started. Candidates have about 3 minutes to read the text, and then there will be a recording, which generally criticizes the three main points of reading the text. Since reading begins immediately after 3 minutes, keep your headphones on. After that, I wrote independently for 3 minutes.
After answering the questions
After the writing test, you need to confirm two multiple-choice questions. The first question asks whether to confirm the submission results, and the general choice is yes. The second question asks whether ets is allowed to use your materials for academic investigation, and the general choice is yes. I usually choose no, but it doesn't affect your final grade.
