In the middle of winter, the river is covered with thick ice and snow, and several children are skating and laughing. Suddenly, someone shouted for help and someone fell into the ice hole! Luo Shengjiao grabbed his hat, threw it on the ground, bent down and rushed over. He undressed while running, and then jumped into the glacier. After a while, Luo Shengjiao surfaced, took a deep breath and dived into the water again. After a while, Luo Shengjiao finally lifted the drowning child out of the water. When the boy grabbed the ice with his arm and climbed up, suddenly, with a loud noise, the ice collapsed again, and the boy fell into the water with the ice. At this point, Luo Shengjiao was blue with cold and almost exhausted. But he dived into the water again and it took him a long time to lift the boy out of the water with his head and shoulders. At this time, Song Huiyun had dragged a telephone pole to the river, and the teenager was pulled ashore by clinging to the telephone pole. People eagerly waited for Luo Shengjiao, however, he never came up. In order to save the drowning Korean children, Luo Shengjiao's heroes gave their lives.

The whole village rushed to the river to mourn the brave volunteer soldier. The villagers buried Luo Shengjiao in Fodong Mountain near the village.

1February, 952, the leading authorities of Chinese people's Volunteer Army awarded Luo Shengjiao the title of "first-class hero" and "special hero". On April 1 day of the same year, the Central Committee of China New Democratic Youth League decided to ratify Luo Shengjiao as a "model member". 1On June 25th, 953, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea awarded him the First Class Flag Medal and the First Class Soldier Medal of Honor.

One day, the mountain village near Lian Observatory was bombed by American planes. He braved smoke and fire to save a Korean grandmother and a child. 1952 65438+1On the morning of October 2, four North Korean teenagers skated on the Oak Marsh River near Shitianli, Chengchuan County, South Pyongan Province. One of them, Cui Ying, accidentally fell into an ice cave with a depth of 2.7 meters, and the other three teenagers shouted for help. After doing morning exercises, Luo Shengjiao passed by, heard shouts, and immediately ran to the accident site. He took off his cotton-padded clothes and trousers while running, braved the cold of -20℃, jumped into the ice cave and dived into the water to look for it. He lifted Cui Ying out of the water twice because the ice around the cave broke and fell into the water. After many twists and turns, his face was blue with cold, and he was trembling all over, so it was difficult to support him. But he still dived into the water again with amazing perseverance and pushed Cui Ying out of the water with his last strength. At this time, a soldier arrived and rescued Cui Ying from the shore. However, due to exhaustion of physical strength, he could not surface and gave his young life. On February 3rd, 1952, the leading organ of Chinese people's Volunteer Army awarded Luo Shengjiao the title of first-class model of loving the people in recognition of his great spirit of internationalism and revolutionary heroism. In April of the same year 1, the Central Committee of China New Democratic Youth League posthumously awarded him the title of model Communist Youth League member. 1On June 25th, 953, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea posthumously awarded him the first-class national flag medal and the first-class soldier's medal of honor, renamed Luo Shengjiao River, Cui Ying's hometown Shitianli, Luo Shengjiao Village, Fodong Mountain and Luo Shengjiao Mountain where he was buried, and set up the Luo Shengjiao Memorial Pavilion and the Luo Shengjiao Monument on the mountain, on which the words of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were engraved.
