In 2007, the on-the-job staff studied for the Master of Engineering.
In order to meet the demand of China's economic construction and social development for high-level engineering technology and engineering management talents, with the approval of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee, our school began to recruit and train on-the-job personnel to study for master's degree in engineering from 1998, so as to train applied and compound high-level engineering technology and engineering management talents for industrial and mining enterprises and engineering construction departments, especially large and medium-sized enterprises. Master of Engineering and Master of Engineering are at the same level, but they focus on engineering application.
The State Council Academic Degrees Committee Office approved our projects in mechanical engineering, material engineering, power engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, integrated circuit engineering, control engineering, computer technology, software engineering, architectural and civil engineering, chemical engineering, light industry technology and engineering, transportation engineering, ship and ocean engineering, environmental engineering, food engineering, vehicle engineering, industrial engineering, biological engineering, project management and logistics engineering. I. Application conditions
On-the-job engineering technology or engineering management personnel who meet one of the following conditions, or teachers who are engaged in engineering technology and engineering management teaching in schools, can apply for the exam:
1.He obtained a bachelor's degree before Jul. 3, 20041,and has more than 3 years of engineering practice experience, and worked for 3 years before Jul. 3, 20071.
2. I obtained my bachelor's degree before July 3, 20061. Although the working experience after obtaining a bachelor's degree has not reached 3 years, he has more than 4 years of engineering practice experience, and his working experience has reached 4 years before July 3, 2007.
3. Have a bachelor's degree in a series of national education universities, with a working experience of more than 4 years, and have worked for 4 years before July 3, 2007.
Candidates applying for integrated circuit engineering, software engineering, electronics and communication engineering, control engineering, computer technology and other fields are not limited by working years. Those who fail to meet the above-mentioned working years before entering the school and are admitted as engineering master students need to complete the postgraduate course and engage in engineering practice for more than 2 years, and complete the thesis (design) in combination with engineering tasks before they can defend their master thesis (design).
Second, registration.
The registration of master of engineering adopts a combination of online registration and on-site registration. The registration process is: online registration → on-site registration.
1. Register online.
Candidates who apply for our school must log on to the website of Guangdong Academic Degrees Office on July 25th 10, fill in and submit complete and accurate application information as required, and keep in mind the number of the online newspaper. During the online newspaper period, candidates can log in repeatedly to modify the registration information. Those who fail to fulfill the online application procedures will not accept on-site registration.
Note: When registering our school online, please be sure to indicate the college code and college name in "Remarks 1", such as "00 1 School of Mechanical Engineering"; "Remarks 2" indicates the codes and names of professional basic courses, such as "20 1 Fundamentals of Mechanical Design" (please refer to the enrollment professional catalogue for the codes and names of departments and departments).
Site registration
After online registration, candidates themselves (not allowed to entrust others to act as agents) must go to the on-site registration point -3 1 on the third floor of West Lake Hall of South China University of Technology on July 27th;

The qualification examination shall be submitted:
(1) The qualification examination form filled in by the candidates, recommended by the unit and affixed with one-inch bareheaded photo with the same background (stamped with the unit's riding seal) is in triplicate (available on the website of the Graduate Admissions Office of South China University of Technology/graduate students (click to download) or the Graduate Admissions Office);
② Undergraduate diploma, bachelor's degree certificate and ID card (both original and photocopy are acceptable);
(2) Pay the entrance examination registration examination fee (the charging standard is implemented according to the relevant documents of the State Council Academic Degree Office).

3. Matters needing attention in registration
(1) Candidates must remember the number of the online newspaper.
(2) The registration information filled in by candidates when they register online must be completely consistent with the registration information filled in their qualification examination form, otherwise the online registration information shall prevail.
(3) After on-site registration, those who have paid the registration fee will not be refunded.
(4) Applicants should register online and on-site within the specified time, and will not be processed after the deadline. If you only register online and do not go through the relevant procedures such as taking photos at the designated on-site registration point, this registration will be invalid.
(5) On-site registration and image acquisition must be handled by the candidates themselves, and no agent may be entrusted.
Third, the examination methods and subjects
The entrance examination for engineering postgraduates adopts two-stage examination.
The first stage: all candidates take the national postgraduate entrance examination (English name is Graduate Candidate Test, abbreviated as "GCT").
The Postgraduate Entrance Qualification Examination (GCT) is organized by the state, and the national joint examination is implemented, which mainly tests the comprehensive quality of candidates. The examination time is scheduled for 20071October 27-28 10 (see the admission ticket for specific time). Candidates' "GCT" scores are tentatively valid for two years. The GCT test paper consists of four parts: language expression ability test, mathematical basic ability test, logical reasoning ability test and foreign language (English, Russian, German, Japanese) application ability test (candidates who apply for our school can only take English test). The full mark of GCT paper is 400, each part accounts for 100, and the examination time is 3 hours, each part is 45 minutes. The basis of the proposition of "GCT" is "Guide to the Entrance Examination for Postgraduates (2005 Edition)" (published by Science and Technology Literature Publishing House).
The second stage: our school independently determines the qualified score line of the first-stage entrance examination for engineering master students. Candidates who have reached the qualified score line apply to our school to take the "professional course" exam and the "professional comprehensive" exam. The examination time of "Professional Course" is 3 hours, with a full mark of 100. The examination content is determined according to the engineering field to be applied for (see the professional catalogue of enrollment in various engineering fields for details); The "professional comprehensive" examination is mainly in the form of interview, and the specific form is organized by the college itself. The time and place will be announced separately. The second phase of the exam is scheduled for 65438+February 65438+May. Professional comprehensive examination is one of the important links for on-the-job students to study for the entrance examination of master of engineering. Focus on the comprehensive application ability of candidates' professional knowledge and the wide coverage of related knowledge, the accumulated engineering practical experience, and the ability to analyze and solve practical problems encountered in engineering, production and management. Evaluate the potential qualities of candidates engaged in engineering technology or engineering management, such as clear thinking, quick response, correct application principle, reasonable method and clear expression; Evaluate candidates' work experience and performance.
Four. Admission and enrollment scale
The admission of on-the-job personnel to study for a master's degree in engineering is organized by our school. The school will select the best candidates according to their GCT scores, professional course scores and professional comprehensive examination scores, and decide the enrollment scale.
Verb (abbreviation for verb) training and degree awarding
On-the-job postgraduate training plan for master's degree in engineering is formulated according to the master's degree training plan in engineering field. The academic system is three years, and the longest period from admission to obtaining master's degree is no more than five years, of which the course study time is two years. The credit system is implemented in the course study, and students can get credits for this course if they pass the course examination prescribed by the school and pass the examination results. The teaching form is mainly face-to-face, and the time is generally arranged on Saturday and Sunday.
On-the-job graduate students studying for master's degree in engineering, under the guidance of double tutors (schools and enterprises), carry out thesis research and write dissertations for not less than one year. After the defense of the thesis is passed, the master's degree in engineering will be awarded in accordance with the relevant provisions of the on-the-job personnel studying for the master's degree in engineering.
Students who apply for "Logistics Engineering" in the School of Business Administration of our university can directly apply for the third-level international qualification certification of logistics operation manager issued by the Royal Logistics and Transportation Association (ILT) after graduation.
Training fees and treatment of intransitive verbs
The charging standards for training fees in various engineering fields in our school are as follows:
Apply for the industrial engineering field of the School of Business Administration: 6.5438+0.2 million yuan per year and 36,000 yuan for three years;
Apply for the project management field of the School of Business Administration: 6.5438+0.6 million yuan per year and 48,000 yuan for three years;
Apply for the field of logistics engineering in the School of Business Administration: 6.5438+0.6 million per year and 48,000 in three years;
Enter oneself for an examination in the field of project management in the School of Economics and Business: 6.5438+0.2 million per year and 36,000 in three years.
Apply for other engineering fields: 654.38+00,000 yuan per year and 30,000 yuan for three years.
Training fees in all engineering fields do not include teaching materials and materials. Training fees must be paid in full at the beginning of each academic year. During the study period, all personnel relations remain in the original work unit, and their wages, living benefits and subsidies, medical expenses, etc. It is the responsibility of the original unit. During the period of returning to school, the school is not responsible for accommodation, transportation and other expenses.
7. Conditions and methods of applying for the second-stage exam with the results of the 2006 GCT entrance exam.
Anyone who takes the 2006 GCT exam for Master of Engineering and meets one of the following conditions, has not been admitted by the school, but can provide proof of withdrawal, can apply to our school for exemption from the GCT:
1. Get a bachelor's degree, with a GCT total score of not less than 202 and a score of not less than 30 in all subjects;
2. Without obtaining a bachelor's degree, the total score of "GCT" is not less than 226 points, and the scores in all subjects are not less than 30 points;
Candidates who meet the above conditions can apply to our school for the second stage examination with their GCT scores in 2006. After the graduate school has passed the examination, it will directly take the second-stage examination of the Master of Engineering organized by our school.
Candidates who apply for GCT exemption also need to go through online registration and on-site registration procedures. The specific application method is as follows:
