Notary office refers to the judicial authentication institution specially established by the state, which exercises the state's notarization authority according to law and carries out notarization and authentication activities on behalf of the state;
Article 2 of the Rules of Notarization Procedure stipulates: "The notary office independently handles notarization affairs according to facts and laws, regulations and rules, and is not subject to illegal interference by other units or individuals."
According to the Provisional Regulations on Notarization, the duty of a notary office is to handle all kinds of notarial affairs and related legal affairs, focusing on guiding citizens and legal persons to establish, change and terminate legal acts correctly according to facts and laws, safeguarding socialist economy, social order and socialist legal system, preventing disputes, reducing lawsuits, educating citizens and legal persons to abide by national laws, stopping illegal acts, protecting national interests and their legitimate rights and interests, and promoting social stability, unity and modernization of social owners.
