New users can't open the card unless they go to the bank counter for face-to-face signing, and of course they can't use it normally. Why do new households need face-to-face interviews?
This is to prevent someone from stealing someone else's identity to apply for a credit card. According to the notice of "Guidelines for Risk Control and Safety Management of Bank Card Business" issued by China Payment and Clearing Association, the issuing bank should personally visit the customer and sign for the first credit card at the issuing bank, and it is not allowed to issue the card by self-service in the whole process.
This provision means that bank staff must personally visit applicants in various ways, such as face-to-face, door-to-door and telephone. At the same time, the counter acceptance personnel or marketing personnel of the issuing bank should personally see the applicant's signature, and indicate in the acceptance column of the application form that they personally see the applicant's signature.
So, what is the process of bank face-to-face signing? If you have never had a face-to-face interview, a credit card analyst will introduce you to the face-to-face interview process.
1. Users apply for credit cards through channels such as bank credit card official website, third-party card platform and bank WeChat platform;
2. After the application materials are submitted, the banking system will conduct a preliminary examination. After the first trial is passed, the bank will call the applicant for verification. After the information is verified, the bank will give the audit results.
3. If the card is successful, the bank will generally make and issue the card within one to two weeks.
4. After receiving the card, if it is the first time to apply, the applicant must go to a nearby bank outlet for face-to-face signing. In addition to my ID card and credit card, the applicant should also bring the card confirmation letter mailed with the card, which can only be used after the activation is completed at the counter.
About the skills of using cards
Generally speaking, as long as most banks approve cards online, the counter staff will not be too stuck in the face-to-face signing process, and usually open cards directly. However, some bank outlets have relatively large authority, and they will also refuse to give customers face-to-face visas for some reasons, such as the Agricultural Bank of China. Then, in this case, it is necessary for the applicant to bring enough materials and fully communicate with the bank staff when interviewing. If you can't pass the first time, you can try again.
