Huolong Town, affiliated to Yuzhou City, Henan Province, is located in the central and western part of Yuzhou City, adjacent to Hancheng Street in the east, Liangbei Town in the southeast, Fanggang Town in the south and southwest, and Fanggang Town in the west. It borders Wenshu Town, Shundian Town to the northwest and north, and Zhuge Town to the northeast. As of 2022, the registered population is 60,022 (this data is based on statistics at the end of 2018).
In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to the capital of Yiyang in Junzhou (Yuzhou, Junping Prefecture). In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Yirangli, Yuzhou. From the first year of the Republic of China (1912) to 1949, it belonged to Longchi Town. In 1968, it was changed to Huolong Commune. In 1984, the township was changed. In 1994, the township was removed and established as a town. As of 2022, Huolong Town has 26 administrative villages under its jurisdiction (this data is based on statistics in June 2020).
