70-year-old Zhao Xuefen 1997 retired from the post of Deputy Secretary-General of Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese Revolutionary Committee. She was only two years old when her father Zhao died 68 years ago. At the age of two, she can't have any real memories of her father, but her reverence and nostalgia for her father have made her pay attention to collecting it for decades.
Legend before his death: "The sword cuts the devil's head."
Zhao, a native of Heze, Shandong, is a tall man with a height of 1.90 meters. He only studied in a private school for two years. /kloc-studied under the local famous boxer Zhu at the age of 0/3. After three years of hard training, he has developed a good martial arts, and more than a dozen people can hardly walk. /kloc-at the age of 0/6, Zhao, his brother Zhao Dengyao and two friends walked more than 900 kilometers and became an unpaid deputy soldier of the 16th Huncheng Brigade of Feng Yuxiang in Lintong, Shaanxi. In a training session, Feng Yuxiang heard that Zhao Wugong was strong, so he wrestled with himself. As a result, Zhao competed with Feng Yuxiang three times in a row. Feng Yuxiang, who made a fool of himself in public, was overjoyed and made Zhao a guard. Later, under Feng Yuxiang's military and cultivation, Zhao was a squad leader, platoon leader, company commander, battalion commander, colonel and brigade commander. At the age of 30, he became a teacher. /kloc-In the Central Plains War that broke out in 0/930, Feng Yuxiang's Northwest Army was defeated and was adapted as 29 army by Zhang Xueliang. The 25th division stationed in Zhao was reduced to 109 brigade, and he was also "reduced" from division commander to brigade commander.
As the brigade commander of 109 Brigade, Zhao ushered in the Battle of xifengkou and became famous in one fell swoop. 1March, 933, the Great Wall broke out in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. On March 9th, Zhao led his troops to capture xifengkou, and fought fiercely with the Japanese army. After three days of fierce fighting, xifengkou changed hands several times, and both sides suffered heavy casualties. Zhao's left leg was also injured by enemy shells. In order to weaken the weapon superiority of the Japanese army, on the evening of March 1 1, Zhao wounded three death squads, armed with broadswords and grenades, and attacked the Japanese artillery positions and camps in two ways at night, reaching the enemy camp at three or four o'clock in the middle of the night, killing more than 500 Japanese soldiers. Xifengkou's victory in the night raid made Zhao and his broadsword team famous. At that time, in recognition of Zhao's outstanding achievements, the China Municipal Government awarded him the highest medal, expanded the 109 brigade into 132 division, and "promoted" it as a teacher again and awarded the rank. Laura Mai, a musician far away from Shanghai, was excited by the bravery of Zhao Avenue team and wrote the famous anti-Japanese song "March on Avenue". Since then, the "big sword to cut the devil's head" has spread all over the country.
Zhao Xuefen has kept two remakes of Zhao during the Battle of xifengkou: one is a picture of his left leg wrapped in a white bandage, and there is a small note on the left: "After his left leg was injured, he volunteered, and the left-wing Panjiakou attacked the enemy camp Zhao Dengyu at night." On his right, there is a famous saying by Zhao: "Being injured is a small commemoration, and only being killed in the battlefield is a big commemoration." The other is a half-length military uniform photo, which reads "Zhao Xin, brigade commander of 37th Division 109, was promoted to 132 Division Commander". This is a commemorative photo taken just after being commended and promoted.
Zhao always insisted on a tit-for-tat struggle with the domineering Japanese invaders. 1in the summer of 936, several Japanese agents kidnapped Xuan Jiexi, director of 29 army's political department. After consulting with two other teachers of Zhao and Liu Ruming, they thought that it was too arrogant for the Japanese to dare to arrest my senior generals, and they must not show weakness to them. So they called the pro-Japanese faction, and Ryan sent a message to the Japanese side: "To the Japanese.
1On July 7, 937, the Japanese invaders attacked Lugou Bridge on the pretext of looking for a missing soldier. China's army rose to defend itself, and War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression of Lugou Bridge broke out. On July 26th, Zhao Feng was ordered by the commander to rush to Nanyuan, where he was in charge of Beiping defense together with the deputy commander Tong. In the early morning of July 28th, the Japanese army concentrated three infantry units, 1 artillery units and more than 30 planes to attack Nanyuan. Zhao led his troops to a bloody battle with the Japanese for six hours, and suffered heavy casualties under the bombardment of enemy planes and artillery. At noon, Song ordered Zhao's troops to gather at Dahongmen. When Zhao's garage arrived at Dahongmen Bridge, it was suddenly ambushed by Japanese machine guns. Zhao was shot several times and covered in blood. He said to the messenger beside him, "I won't get better." The duty of a soldier is to die in battle. There's nothing to be sad about. It's just that my old mother is too old to be frightened. Please arrange it for me. Other than that, I have no other ideas. "Say that finish, a generation of anti-Japanese generals stopped breathing, only 39 years old.
The glory of sadness is behind me: endless time will always have a great commemoration.
After Zhao died, he was first buried by the Beijing Red Cross Society. A few days later, the monks of Longquan Temple took out Zhao's body and put it in a beautiful coffin, which was temporarily put in the temple. People respect Zhao's patriotic spirit and often paint the coffin over and over again to make it as bright as new. Zhao Xuefen's only memory of her father is that one day about a few months after his death, she and her family were taken to see his coffin. A pair of black coffins were parked on two wooden benches, and the whole family cried in front of the coffins.
Zhao's coffin has been parked in Longquan Temple for nine years. It was not until after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War 1 July 28th, 946 that the Beiping Municipal Government held a public sacrifice in Zhongshan Park and buried it at the west crossing about1km west of Lugou Bridge. Also in this year, at the proposal of Beiping Municipal Government, a street east of Baita Temple in Beiping was named "Zhao Dengyu Road" to commemorate the national hero who died in War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
On the third day after Zhao's death, that is, on July 3 1, 1937, the then government issued a commendation order, and Zhao was posthumously awarded as an army general. 1952 One day, 17-year-old Zhao Xuefen, who was studying in a heavy industrial school, came across the honor and disgrace card signed by Chiang Kai-shek at home. She thinks it is not good to keep it after liberation, and it seems inappropriate to throw it away. Not knowing what to do, she called the civil affairs department and told it. A few months later, the relevant departments issued a "glorious commemorative card for the families of soldiers who died in the revolution" to her family, numbered "Amethyst 000 80". The content of the certificate is "Comrade Cha's glorious sacrifice in the revolutionary struggle, his great achievements are immortal, and his family members should be respected by the society. In addition to the pension stipulated in the Provisional Regulations of the Central People's Government on the Sacrifice of Sick Soldiers, this certificate is specially issued as a souvenir. " The certificate was signed by Mao Zedong and dated "1952 June11".
Zhao's sacrifice was a heavy blow to his family. His mother is nearly 70 years old, ready to taste the pain of losing her son in old age; His wife, Ni Yushu, was only 27 when she was pregnant in July and lost her husband in China. His 4-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter are still confused about where you are going, that is, they are separated from their father. After her husband died, Ni Yushu lived in Lacrimosa all the year round. In the end, she was in a trance and couldn't keep the house. Fortunately, Zhao Dengshun, Zhao's cousin, inherited his brother's legacy and helped orphans and widows wander in the war.
Zhao Dengshun is the machine gun company commander under Zhao. Once he asked for leave to go back to his hometown in Shandong and failed to come back. Foul. Zhao's mother knew that her son was strict in running the army and would severely punish her younger brother, so she interceded for him in advance, hoping for a lighter punishment. Zhao was unmoved. According to the military law, he ordered Zhao Dengshun to be beaten with 40 sticks and announced his dismissal from the military. Later, when he got home, Zhao knelt down and said to his mother
From 65438 to 0949, after the liberation of Beijing, Zhao Xuefen returned to Beijing with her mother, brother and sister. Later, Zhao Xuefen and her brother Zhao went to a secondary school of heavy industry, and her sister Zhao Xuefang went to a hydropower school. After graduation, Zhao Xuefen was assigned to teach at Miliangku Primary School in Xicheng District. Bu Xuefen's mother has no job because of official website's mental disorder, and lives on the rent of the house left by Zhao.
During the Cultural Revolution, Zhao's tombstone was destroyed and Zhao Road was renamed Baitasi East Street. After the Cultural Revolution, Zhao Lu resumed its original name. 1980, Zhao's tomb was rebuilt with white marble in the original site of Xidaokou, Fengtai District, Beijing. Zhao's wife, Ni Yushu, is also taken care of by the government, enjoying living allowance and free medical care.
1992, the leader of the United Front Work Department talked with Zhao Xuefen and transferred her to Beijing as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Revolutionary Committee. 1997, Zhao Xuefen retired. In 200 1 year, Zhao Xuefen's mother Ni Yushu died of illness. This woman who suffered numerous hardships because of the Japanese royal family's invasion of China died at the age of 9 1.
Now besides Zhao Tomb and Zhao Road, there are Zhao Street in Tongzhou District and Zhao School in Fengtai District in Beijing, all of which are Zhao's materialized memorial halls.
Endless regret: no one knows better than Zhao.
"If your father was born in the era of cold weapons, with his outstanding martial arts, he must be a great hero who defeated the enemy!" I have feelings for Zhao Xuefen.
"Already very good. He became a teacher at the age of 30! " On one side, Zhao Xuefen's wife chimed in.
"You may only see my father's side. He is an outstanding martial artist and brave in battle, but he is more than just a soldier. Zhao Xuefen told me the other side of her father.
Zhao is famous for his filial piety to his mother in the army. Because his father died early, he gave all his filial piety to his mother. No matter how busy the military affairs are, he always greets his mother when he comes home every day. In the 24 th filial piety school, there is an old Lai Zi who always deliberately plays all kinds of childish tricks to please his parents. Zhao will always be a deadbeat in front of his mother. One year, on Song's mother's birthday, Zhao gave her a gift with a picture inscribed by him, which showed that "filial piety" was supreme in his mind.
"I'll find a copy of this word to show you!" Zhao Xuefen rummaged through the drawer, only to find that it was a copy of a letter rather than a word. "Look at this letter! 」
This letter was copied by Zhao Xuefen from Beijing Archives. On the vertical note was Zhao's calligraphy: "Arise, my division is stationed in Saibei, and the Qingshan Temple will be captured. Recently, I got two Fokko in the mountains. Because it is inconvenient for our teacher to raise them, I am afraid of hurting his life for a long time. Unfortunately, I always read the list of all kinds of animals in your garden for tourists to visit. I hereby send the adjutant Shan Yongan to bring them to see you. " Teacher Zhao Baiqi ".
When I first read this letter, my heart was shocked, not by Zhao's awareness of caring for animals, but by his calligraphy. His pen is no less than some calligraphers today. It's hard to believe that this is actually the hand of a person who has only studied in a private school for two years, and this person's hand is famous for "cutting the devil's head with a big knife".
"My father's hand just like it happened. I heard that his antique collection was broken, so I repaired it myself. " Zhao Xuefen said with a face of pride.
"It's hard to imagine! Unbelievable! " I sigh again and again. This is indeed a person with too much contrast, and it is difficult for anyone to knead such contrast into a person, but Zhao is such a person.
After interviewing Zhao Xuefen, I can't help thinking that if Zhao Dengyu dies, Zhao Xuefen will be older and remember more things! More wonderful stories about Zhao, but no one knows them anymore.
