What certificates are required for welding majors:
There are five types of welder certificates {elementary, intermediate, senior, second-level technician, senior technician}, as well as special type of work operation certificates. If you are welding special welding such as pressure vessels or high-pressure pipelines, you must obtain relevant qualifications.
Graduates from majors can take the welding engineer exam.
Welding engineers refer to professional technicians engaged in developing and customizing welding processes, guiding workers in their operations, and maintaining welding equipment.
Work content
1. Design the welding process;
2. Responsible for the improvement of the welding room functions (equipment, processes, tools, consumables) of the technical service department;
3. Improve the welding repair process specifications according to the steel plant’s guidance documents and the technical guidance of the steel plant experts;
4. Maintain the welding and auxiliary equipment to ensure normal operation; < /p>
5. Work with other technical service engineers to provide customer complaint support (on-site and internal tests and reports);
6. Participate in process tests;
7. Prepare welding process technical plan;
8. Responsible for welding repair knowledge training.
9. Establish and improve the welding quality control system.
