In recent years, with the support of the National Tenth Five-Year Plan, the State Planning Commission, the Provincial Science and Technology Department and the key projects of the Provincial Planning Commission, fruitful research has been carried out in the separation and analysis of functional components of Chinese herbal medicines, the development of standard reference materials and related standardized analysis methods, and the separation and purification of monomer compounds in Chinese herbal medicines have reached a high level. The developed high-purity (>: 98%) ginsenoside monomer, cichoric acid, ganoderma lucidum terpenoic acid, safflower yellow, rutin, schisandrin A and schisandrin B were designated as standard reference substances for the determination of functional factors of health food by the Ministry of Health, and the fingerprint standards of related medicinal materials and preparations were established in cooperation with Chinese medicine enterprises, and the reference substances (single compounds or extracts) needed for fingerprint preparation were purified.
Professor Yao Shouzhuo has made a series of fruitful innovations in developing interdisciplinary subjects and applying them to new chemistry and biosensing, and the related achievements have reached the international leading or advanced level. He presided over the completion of more than 20 provincial and ministerial-level projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation, and was the project leader of the National Natural Science Foundation's major projects in the Eighth Five-Year Plan and the Ninth Five-Year Plan. He has published more than 400 papers and 4 monographs in important academic journals at home and abroad. Academician Yao Shouzhuo joined the China Democratic Party of Agriculture and Workers from 65438 to 0986. He used to be a member of the Central Committee and Standing Committee of the Democratic Party of Peasants and Workers, chairman of Hunan Provincial Committee, deputy to the Eighth National People's Congress, member of the Ninth China People's Political Consultative Conference, and vice chairman of Hunan Provincial Political Consultative Conference. For more than 20 years, he has been concerned about the future development of the country. At the first session of the Eighth National People's Congress, he took the lead in proposing a motion, suggesting the enactment of the Education Investment Law, and calling for legislation to protect investment and promote the development of education. Since then, several sessions of the National People's Congress have put forward such a motion. With the development of economy, the country started the "2 1 1" project, and the investment in education has increased greatly in recent years. At the Third Session of the Eighth National People's Congress, his proposal of "proposing to enact an anti-monopoly law" attracted the attention of state leaders, and People's Daily and Guangming Daily both published abstracts, which promoted the promulgation of China's anti-monopoly law. At every National People's Congress, he put forward a bill. According to the relevant regulations of the National People's Congress, it must be signed by 30 NPC deputies to become a bill. Academician Yao proposed the Education Investment Law for the first time, and solicited the opinions of relevant representatives on the contents of the bill for many times. Finally, he went to the home of every NPC representative and asked them to read the bill and sign it. After nearly a week's solid work, he finally contacted the representatives of 137 in Hunan and Sichuan provinces to sign.
At the first session of the Ninth CPPCC National Committee, Academician Yao submitted a proposal on the first day of the opening of the conference, calling for the reform, reorganization and streamlining of administrative institutions at all levels from the central to the local level, and the diversion of government staff, so that some government-related personnel with professional skills and enterprise management skills can be diverted with their posts, enriched to enterprises and grass-roots units, and give full play to their advantages and functions. His suggestion coincides with the institutional reform plan announced by the State Council soon, which shows the level and foresight of Academician Yao in participating in and discussing state affairs. In the past 20 years, Academician Yao's position has been constantly changing, but he has always maintained a good style of modesty and approachability, paying attention to the disadvantaged groups, people's livelihood and loving the people.
