Ye Genyou is from Jingning County, Zhejiang Province. He has been practicing calligraphy since he was 5 years old. His "hollow characters with continuous strokes" have set a Guinness World Record, and the five-stroke calligraphy is the world's first. He is the founder of Ye Genyou font. His calligraphy art has been reported and interviewed by many domestic and foreign media such as CCTV, Phoenix TV, and Hunan Satellite TV. His calligraphy works have been praised and collected by people from all walks of life at home and abroad.
On October 1, 2002, Ye Genyou participated in the Guinness record challenge and wrote continuously for 17 hours and 13 minutes. On a piece of paper 80 centimeters wide and more than 100 meters long, he wrote 7659 "continuous strokes" Hollow characters", setting a Guinness World Record for "Hollow characters in consecutive strokes".
In 2005, he completed a 132-meter-long, 200,000-word Chinese classic "Thirty-Six Stratagems" in the art form of continuous hollow characters, and held a touring exhibition in major cities across the country.
On April 30, 2005, Ye Genyou’s continuous hollow calligraphy work "Home and Everything Happens" was collected by Mr. Lien Chan, the former chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang.
On May 6, 2005, Mr. Ye Genyou launched an activity to collect citizens’ signatures at the Xi’an Bell Tower with the theme: “Peaceful Reunification and Prosperity of the Motherland”, which was a complete success. The work was 10 meters long. 1 meter wide, the General Secretary has collected nearly 10,000 signatures and will be presented directly to Mr. James Soong, Chairman of the China People's First Party, expressing our Chinese citizens' ardent expectations for the return of the motherland to reunification.
In July 2005, I created a work of continuous hollow characters of the plot content of "Snow Wolf Lake" and 31 lyrics of the song for Mr. Jacky Cheung, and took a group photo with him.
In August 2005, his pictographic work "Dragon and Horse Spirit" was exhibited at the "Canada China Culture and Arts Festival" in Canada.
In September 2005, 999 different styles of "Andy Lau" signatures were designed. Mr. Andy Lau personally signed a 1,000-style signature scroll. Finally, the proceeds from this work were auctioned and donated Give China Hope Project.

When Ye Genyou came to Kunming, he found that the Ye Genyou font series he created could be seen everywhere in the streets and alleys of Kunming. He suddenly came up with an idea to find an apprentice in Kunming and use his power to infect more people. People come to love the art of Chinese calligraphy.
With two pens in each hand and another pen in his mouth, around 2:40 yesterday afternoon, Ye Genyou got into a posture at this newspaper and performed the five-stroke calligraphy. The stopwatch is pressed when the first ink dot is produced. I saw Ye Genyou starting to write in order of strokes, starting with the word spring. As the founder of Wubi Tongshu, Ye Genyou has performed on many important occasions, and his calligraphy works have also been collected by many celebrities. But who would have thought that the calligrapher standing in front of him had repaired and washed cars... After dropping out of high school, Ye Genyou embarked on the road to work in Wenzhou. But no matter how hard life was, Ye Genyou never gave up practicing calligraphy.
Once, Ye Genyou saw a beggar writing with his left hand on the street. "He only has 4 fingers, but he can write beautiful continuous hollow calligraphy." This greatly inspired Ye Genyou, and he then began to practice hollow calligraphy.
In 2000, Ye Genyou began to try writing calligraphy with two hands. After practicing with more than 40 brushes and using 70 bottles of ink, Ye Genyou's handwriting became more and more beautiful. At the same time, he began to practice the "five-stroke script" of holding two brushes in each hand and holding a brush in his mouth to write at the same time.
Ye Genyou introduced that Wubi Tongshu is called "cutting the brain": "The three pens on the left hand and the mouth are the most difficult to control the brain. Because the right hand is the dominant hand, writing is relatively simple. "From writing with both hands to writing in five strokes, Ye Genyou practiced for 10 years and finally developed good calligraphy.
