The tense and hard half-term has passed, and the three-day long holiday of May Day is coming, so I can finally relax. I chose to travel.
On May 1 day, my mother and I visited the Terracotta Warriors, the eighth wonder of the world. As soon as we arrived in Xi 'an, we couldn't wait to take a bus to Lintong County, which is more than 40 kilometers away from Xi 'an, and found the world-famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses Exhibition Hall. Qin Shihuang's military forces were arranged by Qin Shihuang to be buried with him. He claimed that as long as there was one before death, there must be one underground after death. In order to unify China, Qin Shihuang led thousands of troops and created a glorious history. Now even if he lies quietly in the mausoleum, he still has to give orders. At present, three pits have been unearthed and opened to tourists.
Let's visit pit one first. Pit 1 is the largest of the three pits, and thousands of terracotta warriors and horses were unearthed in * * * *. From a distance, it can be described as huge, with horses, infantry, cavalry and weapons in rows, much like the army array that was fighting at that time. Looking at such a huge battle, I seem to go back more than two thousand years ago, as if I heard the killing sound of soldiers galloping on the battlefield and the neighing sound of war horses. The tour guide said that these servants are thousands of people, and none of them are duplicate. From their hairstyles and clothes, we can clearly tell which are officers and which are ordinary soldiers. It is no exaggeration to say that everything is a work of art, from chariots to the hair and fingers of military forces, which makes me secretly admire the exquisite carving skills of the ancients.
The second pit is next to the first pit. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw this pit. The second pit is almost an empty pit, with only dozens of terracotta warriors and horses, many of which have not been unearthed. I asked the tour guide, who joked, "That's for your children." Originally, due to the limited protection technology of our existing cultural relics, the unearthed terracotta warriors and horses were originally colored, but once excavated, they soon faded and lost their original appearance after weathering. Moreover, some terracotta warriors and horses can't even be repaired by experts, and they lie on one side without arms and legs. One day, when our technology is mature, we will continue to develop.
The third pit is the smallest one, but it is a headquarters, which is full of signs of generals and chariots. The three pits formed a zigzag pattern, which was the usual fighting military style at that time.
Finally, we went to the "Qin Shihuang Exhibition Hall". These characters are written in Qin script. If it wasn't introduced by the tour guide, I would have thought it was an exorcism spell. Various imitations of ancient bronzes, weapons and chariots were exhibited in the exhibition hall. The Terracotta Warriors have found people-two old men in their eighties, Yang Zhifa and Yang Xinman. They discovered the miracle of the world for the first time while drilling wells. Fortunately, I met them at the scene this time to sign books in person. I think it is particularly memorable. I accepted their signatures and took a group photo as a permanent memory.
What a happy May Day! I witnessed the huge scale of the terracotta warriors and horses of Qin Shihuang, which was an eye-opener; Understand the history of Qin dynasty and increase your knowledge; I got the autograph of the Qin maid discoverer and got a treasure.
