Due to the fierce competition in the application of national funds, the applicant's expressive ability, persuasive ability and application experience are almost as important as the academic value of the project itself. Having good ideas, a high degree and excellent articles does not guarantee that he will get funding. Therefore, the applicant's understanding of the peer review process and the key points and requirements of expert review, as well as the clear writing of the application form are also important factors for the success of the application.

Two, the national fund application requires the applicant to provide the following four aspects of information in the application:

You should explain the research background of this work, analyze the progress and existing problems of previous research work, and explain that you will study that problem, or what new problems and new phenomena you encounter in your work. You need to conduct further research, collect and analyze all this information, and prove that your choice and analysis of the problem are correct. We must pay full attention to the innovation of the questions raised. After selecting the research questions, you should be clear about what contribution you will make to this research field and increase those new understandings through your research work.

3. Research projects

This is the core part of the application, which many applicants tend to overlook. According to statistics, more than 50% of the applied projects have problems in this respect, such as unreasonable, infeasible, not specific, not optimal and so on. Our school is 63.7%, which is the problem that the project has no funds. The research goal is the essence of the project application, and it must be specific, clear, feasible and accurate, so as to clearly convey to the reviewers what you want to do and what problems you want to solve. (2) The research content and key issues should closely focus on the research objectives, and the content should not be complicated, so as not to cover everything and lack the focus. (3) Innovative or important research methods, technical routes and experimental schemes must be clear and specific; The feasibility should be analyzed and demonstrated according to the research methods, technical routes and operability mentioned in the research content. At the same time, pay attention to protect your ideas and key technologies from infringement. ④ The characteristics and innovations of the project should focus on the main differences from other people's research and the characteristics of the project itself. ⑤ Expected research progress should include annual progress and main research contents in each year; It is expected that the research results will be objective and practical, so as to publish articles and objects or possible economic benefits. Paper is just a carrier. The application must make the research plan consistent with the research purpose.

4. Research basis

It is required to provide the background information of the previous and related research foundations and laboratory support conditions of the main members of the project team, and objectively evaluate themselves. Introduce the preliminary progress of the application project as much as possible (attach the submitted articles and acceptance certificates) to strengthen the trust in you. It is advocated to make the best use of the existing research equipment of national key or departmental open laboratories. The academic qualifications and resumes of the main members shall be specified, and a list of works published in the last three years shall be provided, including the list and order of all authors in the works, the publication date of the title of the paper, the name of the journal, the issue number and the page number.

5. "Budget"

Whether the project budget is reasonable, too high to support, too low to carry out work. 6. Strengthen the performance management requirements of the pre-project completion, fill in the report carefully according to the project summary report submitted, and attach relevant materials as required, because it is linked to the review of the newly applied project, and it must not be sloppy. Projects with similar research contents in the same project team can only submit one discipline (the new code is enabled by the management department). ⑥ Foreign researchers and researchers from Hongkong, Macau and Taiwan Province provinces can participate in mainland research work as the main members of the project team, but they cannot apply to be the project leader. For the main members of the project team who are still abroad, if they can't sign the application form in person and the cooperative unit can't seal it, they should attach a letter agreeing to participate in the cooperative research, and don't sign it. All landowners are allowed to put forward the list of experts who are not suitable for evaluating the application items, sealed in an envelope and nailed on the cover of the application.
