What stage is it now?
Fan Wen:
1. Environmental protection suggestions
Dear Leader of Shenzhen Environmental Protection Bureau:
Hello! I am a sixth-grade student in Shenzhen Nanshan Experimental School.
Now the earth is very developed, but the hidden dangers are very serious, all of which are man-made: cutting down trees, building chemical plants and discharging harmful liquids at will. "The gas that poses a greater threat to human beings, the total annual emissions in the world exceed 600 million tons ..." What do you feel when you see these shocking figures? From 23 million years ago to the appearance of forest apes 6.5438+0.8 million years ago, and then to the highly developed civilization era of mankind, nature has always been "responsive" to everyone, which has further bred human greed.
Leaders of the Environmental Protection Bureau, the following are my suggestions for this this beautiful city for your reference!
First of all, we should pay attention to hygiene, because it can protect the environment! Of course, no spitting, no littering, no smoking in public places and no noise.
Second, we should protect the natural environment so that everything can live together in a beautiful home. We should not only do it ourselves, but also encourage people around us not to hunt and use rare animals and protect them, and to love and protect wild animals and plants. Afforestation, take care of every inch of green space, every flower and every tree around you! Now some places have started this activity project: "classified recycling". We can't throw away rubbish and waste such as waste batteries and waste plastics; Instead, we should put the garbage into different categories, turn waste into treasure, recycle resources and benefit mankind!
Third, we should do the most important thing: save resources and reduce pollution! ! Be proud of saving water, turn off the tap at any time and never waste our water resources!
2. Border Environmental Protection-Investigation Report on the Use of Disposable Tableware in Xiangda University At present, State Taxation Administration of The People's Republic of China's decision to tax disposable chopsticks has triggered another round of debate on disposable tableware in society. How about the use of disposable tableware in Hunan University? How do teachers and students view disposable tableware? We made an investigation into this. Investigation time: March 26th-March 29th, 2006. Respondents: College students, restaurants, fast food restaurants and sanitation workers in Hunan Province assisted the investigators: reporter Wu, student network management center, Qu Hongfeng, Xing Youjing,,, Yue Mei. We visited 18 restaurants and fast food restaurants in Beiyuan, Nanyuan, Jinhuanlin, Lian Jian and Qinhu. Disposable tableware provided in these places mainly includes disposable chopsticks, lunch boxes and plastic bags. In particular, disposable chopsticks are used the most: student restaurants, such as Beiyuan girls' dormitory, use about 1500 pairs every day because they all use disposable chopsticks; Beiyuan Nansheng Dormitory also uses 300-500 pairs every day; Fast food restaurants vary in size, from about 300 pairs a day to about 100 pairs. The consumption of box lunch is much smaller: Beiyuan student restaurant is about fifty or sixty per day, and Nanyuan restaurant is about 100; Fast food restaurants use more box lunches, because there are fewer tables and they are provided free of charge, which are basically around 200 or 300. "We don't want to use disposable tableware either." The owner of a fast food restaurant said, "Although the cost is low, the purchase price of lunch boxes is 70 cents, and the quality of chopsticks is 70 cents, with a difference of 4 or 50 cents, but it is almost 2000 yuan a month." In addition to the benefits, the bosses also told us that disposable tableware is very unsanitary: the manufacturers are not standardized, the production, transportation and storage processes are unsanitary, and many chemicals are added. "It's not as hygienic as the tableware we recycle." The bosses spoke in unison. Because of this, we pay special attention to the cleanliness of tableware circulating in various places. Students' canteens are basically washed with detergent first, then with edible alkali, then with clean water and steam disinfection. Most fast food restaurants have disinfection cabinets. "Health is absolutely guaranteed. However, students always feel that disposable tableware is cleaner psychologically, and we have no choice but to use it. " We asked the boss to estimate the proportion of diners who used disposable tableware to the total diners, and the difference was quite big. The data given by a restaurant in Jin Hanlin is less than 1/20, a girl's restaurant in Beiyuan is about 20% and 30%, and a restaurant in Nanyuan is over 70%. Fast food restaurants are basically more than half, 60%, 80% or even 90%. We investigated the frequency of students using disposable tableware. * * * randomly surveyed one hundred students. Among them, 9 students do not use disposable tableware, 10 students use disposable tableware completely, 45 students use it occasionally, and 36 students use it frequently. It can be seen that disposable tableware still has a big market in Hunan University. So what makes disposable tableware so popular? "Convenient." A boy said. "I know that some girls bring tableware in their schoolbags every day, but what do boys bring? Washing them is also troublesome. " "Everyone used it, and I used it." This is also a reason. "There are no bowls and chopsticks." This reason is really a bit ridiculous. "Hygiene." This word appears frequently. When we told the students with this reason that many disposable tableware were unsanitary, most of them smiled and didn't show any special surprise. "The quality problems and sanitary conditions of disposable tableware are not unheard of, but because of the slow impact on the body, I can't see the harm, so I feel that the harm is separated from myself, so I don't care much." However, what effect does inferior disposable tableware have on the body? Many people don't know. According to the data, many products cut corners in order to save costs. For example, some paper pulp molding tableware does not add waterproof and oil-proof additives, and the products are seriously oil-leaking, water-seeping, deformed and sticky. In the production of some so-called environmentally-friendly plastic tableware, industrial plastic raw materials and waste plastics are used instead of food-grade raw materials, and industrial paraffin and talcum powder are randomly added in the production, so that minerals and additives added in lunch boxes can dissolve with water, vinegar and oil contained in food, which may cause indigestion, local pain and liver system diseases, affect children's intellectual development, and even lead to gallstones, heavy metal poisoning and even cell canceration. Some products and packaging boxes have no corporate logo at all, but the words "environmental protection lunch box", "degradable tableware" or "urban environmental protection" are conspicuously marked on the outer packaging and fast food boxes. In fact, this product which is not easy to degrade and has no recycling value simply does not meet the requirements of hygiene and environmental protection. Many students like to use disposable chopsticks because they look white. However, the whiter the chopsticks, the more poisonous they are. The raw materials used in regular disposable chopsticks are all wood with good texture and have not been specially treated. However, in order to reduce the cost, many small workshops now use inferior wood, which looks darker. Of course, it can't be favored by foodies, but after processing, it will be "transformed" and put on people's dining tables. There are two processing methods: solid and liquid. The solid is made by bleaching chopsticks with sulfur fumigation. However, the sulfur dioxide content of chopsticks bleached with sulfur gas will seriously exceed the standard, and one of the characteristics of sulfur dioxide is that it will solidify when it is cold. When people eat with these chopsticks, sulfur dioxide can easily solidify into the respiratory tract with the flow of air, and respiratory diseases such as cough and asthma will follow. In addition, sulfur contains heavy metals such as lead and mercury. Heavy metals can accumulate in human body, and long-term accumulation will cause lead poisoning or mercury poisoning. The liquid treatment of chopsticks is chlorine or hydrogen peroxide, especially chlorine, which not only easily causes gallstones in the human body, but also contains dioxins that once made people talk about color change. As for bamboo chopsticks, in order to remove the burr of bamboo and make it look smooth and white, the producer puts it in talcum powder and processes the chopsticks by friction. However, talcum powder is easy to increase the risk of gallstones. Generally speaking, tableware with high toxicity can be distinguished from its appearance. They are usually white and crisp. The color of environmentally friendly tableware will be slightly darker and yellowish, and its toughness will be better. Nowadays, with the growing voice of environmental protection, people pay more and more attention to the damage of disposable tableware to the environment. In our survey, the reasons of nine students who don't use disposable tableware at all include destroying the environment without exception. This is the embodiment of Hunan college students' environmental awareness. However, the number of 9 people is a little small, less than one tenth of the total number of people surveyed. The remaining nine-tenths of the students are not unaware of this, however, it doesn't matter and hangs high. Students who use disposable tableware or not have one thing in common: they can only say "destroying forests and wasting resources" in general. Let's see how shallow and poor our understanding of "destroying forests and wasting resources" is compared with the great damage of disposable tableware to the environment, and then reflect on our awareness of environmental protection. The first is the disposable lunch box. In the short term, first of all, disposable lunch boxes are discarded at will, which brings "visual pollution" to the urban environmental landscape and provides a hotbed for the survival and reproduction of mosquitoes, flies and bacteria; From a deeper perspective, the harm of disposable lunch boxes to the environment is imperceptible to the naked eye. Because waste plastics are difficult to degrade after entering the natural environment, the long-term existence of waste plastics will have great destructive power to the soil. Mixing it with soil will prevent crops and plants from absorbing nutrients and water; Abandoned on land or in water and swallowed by animals will lead to death; If buried, it will directly occupy the land, and it will be difficult to degrade within 100 years, which will affect the soil structure, hinder the growth of plant roots, and may also pollute groundwater; If burned, it will produce harmful gases and pollute the atmosphere. At present, most of the 654.38+84 million disposable lunch boxes produced every day can only be mixed with other garbage and landfilled. These non-degradable plastics will eventually accumulate more and more, and the environment on which people live will be occupied by more and more waste plastics. Using degradable lunch box is an effective method, but its decomposition is not complete, and there is still some harm. Disposable chopsticks are also not optimistic. A tree that has been growing for 20 years can only be made into 3000 to 4000 pairs of chopsticks. Disposable chopsticks industry in northern China exports 654.38+0.5 billion Shuang Mu chopsticks to Japan and South Korea every year. China produces 6.5438+300,000 cubic meters of disposable chopsticks every year. Reduce forest accumulation by 2 million cubic meters. Disposable tableware is harmful. Is there any good and feasible scheme to avoid using disposable tableware? Students put forward various methods: bring your own tableware, use folding tableware, use chopsticks for as long as possible, stop supplying disposable tableware and use recycled tableware in an all-round way. These methods are feasible, stop supplying disposable tableware and use recycled tableware in an all-round way. We interviewed some students about whether the plan could be accepted. "Now almost every restaurant has iron plates, which is acceptable, but if chopsticks are recycled, hygiene cannot be guaranteed." "This is a question of integrity. The boss said that recycling tableware, especially chopsticks, is very hygienic, but who knows? Many disinfection cabinets are for display and don't open at all. This is a two-sided problem, and our efforts alone are not enough. " This is worth thinking about. In the interview, we also learned that in Beiyuan Boys' Restaurant, Jinhuanlin Students' Restaurant and Yayuan Restaurant where chopsticks are recycled, chopsticks are all broken after use. Even the recycled chopsticks have a short life, and after being used several times, they can't avoid the fate of going to the garbage dump. Is there any garbage that can be reused after being turned into garbage, such as making paper? In this regard, the answers of the people interviewed are all no. But there is a fast food restaurant that uses it to make a fire-better than throwing it away. And every day, there will always be scavengers collecting used disposable tableware, and its whereabouts and uses will always make people think of bad places. It is understood that since May 2002 1, the state has implemented the management of pre-nuclear signature on the export of wooden chopsticks, which has raised the export guidance price; In June 2004, 5438+1 October1,the export tax rebate rate of wooden chopsticks changed from 13% to 0; A few days ago, the State Forestry Administration expressly stipulated that the competent forestry authorities at all levels should not approve the establishment of disposable wooden chopsticks production enterprises-the state is acting. On March 25th, 2006, students from Class 2, 04 News, Wenxin College, Hunan University launched an activity to reveal the harm of disposable chopsticks to people and the environment, and launched a signature campaign to resist the use of disposable chopsticks, which was strongly supported by teachers and students-we are taking action. As the classmate we interviewed said, "This is a question of honesty." Disposable tableware has become a social phenomenon with its social roots. It is directly related to the problems of honesty, citizen's quality, administrative management and market management that affect China's social development. Another example is "It's none of our business, hang it high". Some traditional cultural habits in China are also the deep-seated reasons for the popularity of disposable tableware. This is a problem of the whole society, which cannot be completely solved by national laws and group actions. However, the ancients said, "Don't do it because it is good and small, and don't do it because it is evil." Today, people also tell us that a small butterfly flapping its wings in Asia may make the United States roll up a tornado. How do you know that our small activity of boycotting disposable chopsticks today will not arouse the opposition of the whole people to disposable tableware? A spark can start a prairie fire!
