1.Win 10 encountered a printing problem, how to solve it?
Problem 1: Unable to install driver.
When installing print drivers in Win 10, if the matching printers are old (such as stylus printers), there will often be a prompt that "the third-party INF does not contain digital signature information", which will lead to the failure of installation, and even some drivers have no prompt. In this case, people often look for new drivers or try each version of the driver one by one. But for old products, this method is often ineffective. In fact, the reason for this problem is that Win 10 uses a mandatory digital signature. If this function is turned off, drivers can be installed smoothly, especially drivers on Win7 can be installed smoothly on Win 10.
The shutdown method is as follows: In settings, select Update and Security, and in recovery, click Restart Now. At this time, the computer will enter the restart page, select Troubleshooting → Advanced Options → Startup Settings, then select Disable Driver Mandatory Signature, and finally click Restart. After the computer restarts, you can install the driver.
Problem 2: Unable to start the printing program.
When printing, Win 10 reports "Unable to connect the printer, the spooler is not running". In this case, many people choose to reinstall the driver, unplug the USB cable or restart the computer.
In fact, the prompt has been made very clear, and the problem lies in the printing service of Windows itself. We can find "Print Spooler" in the service of control panel →→→→ administrative tools →win 10, which is the printing background service. Double-click this service to pop up the Properties menu, and put the Startup Type into the General submenu. Please try printing again. How's it going? Everything's fine.
Question 3: The default printer has been modified.
The printer that was clearly used normally suddenly found that it could not print when it was used again in a few days. A closer look reveals that several printers are inexplicably added, and the default printer is set as the newly added printer, so you can only reset the default printer or specify a printer when printing. But the problem is that it is too troublesome to specify a printer every time, and resetting the default printer will change carelessly. What should I do?
In fact, this problem is mainly because many programs such as Office and Adobe Reader will automatically generate virtual printers after installation, and in Win 10, the last used printer will be set as the default printer by default, so when the program calls the virtual printer, the default settings of the original printer will be changed. In this case, you can select the device option in the settings, change "Let Windows manage the default printer" to off in the lower right corner of the printers and scanners menu, then go to the devices and printers in the control panel, find the printer device you want to set as the default printer, right-click and select "Set as default printer". In future use, the default printer will not be modified.
