The Tianjin Mint of the Qing Dynasty branch was minted in the third year of Xuantong (1911). In April of the second year of Xuantong (1910), the Qing government promulgated the "Currency Regulations", which clearly unified the minting power to the central government and formulated in detail the style, unit, weight and fineness of standard silver coins. The following year, in accordance with the provisions of the "Currency Regulations", the Tianjin Mint hired experienced foreign engravers to carefully design and mint the Qing Dynasty silver coins for the third year of Xuantong, which were planned to be the national currency. There were several formats. In the third year of Xuantong's reign, the silver coin of the Qing Dynasty, Long Bearded Dragon One Yuan, was one of the standard national coins that was officially minted. It was not a trial coin as mentioned in the money genealogy compiled by many private people. On the front of the silver coin, the Chinese character "Qing Dynasty Silver Coin" is engraved in the central bead circle, the upper end of the bead circle is engraved with the Manchu "Great Qing Silver Coin", the lower end is engraved with the Chinese character "Xuantong Three Years", and a symmetrical floral decoration is engraved on the left and right sides. On the back of the silver coin is engraved a ring-shaped bearded dragon and clouds. On the lower end is engraved the English word "ONE DOLLAR" worth one yuan. On the lower left end between the dragon claws and the clouds is engraved on the edge of the silver coin engraved the name of the man hired by the Tianjin Mint. The designer of the silver coin was the Italian engraver Rucci. George's Latin signature "GIORGI". This signature is an important feature of the long-bearded dragon one-yuan silver coin of the Qing Dynasty in the third year of Xuantong. In the late years of Guangxu's reign in the Qing Dynasty, the Qing government devoted itself to the rectification and reform of the currency system in order to rectify the currency chaos caused by scattered coinage in various places. In addition to the unification of minting rights to the central government in the Ming Dynasty, the style, unit, weight and fineness of mints were also formulated in detail. The "bearded dragon" silver coin is one of them. This series of coins has a complete system and exquisite production, which is unprecedented in the history of Chinese currency. The Revolution of 1911 broke out, so it was abolished shortly after its framers were overthrown. Except for ordinary "Quxulong" one-yuan silver coins and ten copper coins that were minted in large quantities in response to demand in the early years of the Republic of China, there were not many coins of all types. It is also well-known in the money world and has always been a favorite choice for Chinese silver coin collections. The long-bearded dragon version of the Qing Dynasty silver coin from the third year of Xuantong is extremely rare.
