Kim Jong-un said in his speech that he had mixed feelings about whether the two sides could meet frequently in the future to resolve outstanding issues and prevent the lost 11 years from going in vain. The tree planted by the two leaders was the pine tree when the Korean Armistice Agreement was signed in 1953. When planting trees, Kim Jong-un used soil from Mount Halla, and Moon Jae-in used soil from Mount Paekdu.
