In 2005, it was awarded as the advanced collective of adult colleges in Shanghai, China in 2006, China in 2007, and China in 2002 and 2007.

Running adult higher education that people are satisfied with is the unchangeable commitment of Adult Education College of Shanghai University. In the years of running a school, I deeply realized that the vitality and competitiveness of adult higher education come from its real entry into the broad masses of the people and its concern and welcome, which is also the cornerstone of truly establishing its due social status. Proceeding from this understanding, according to its own positioning and school-running conditions, the college strives to meet the educational needs of various social groups, including some vulnerable groups and special groups, and expand the coverage of running schools as much as possible, thus winning a good social reputation. Adult Education College of Shanghai University has become a large-scale adult education college with strong influence and competitiveness in Shanghai. At present, there are more than 10000 students in adult education in our school, among whom undergraduates account for 65.6%. According to the needs of various social groups, adult non-academic education in our school has set up various forms and multi-level continuing education classes, such as self-examination, on-the-job training, further study and discussion, with more than 9000 students.
