Austria, located in the middle of Europe, is a relatively small country, which is easy to reach in road trip. Although its size won't make you unhappy, Austria has many incredible and wonderful places, which can be seen everywhere.
In other words, with so many places to see, it is actually difficult to give priority to your tourist destination. That's why I want to share some very cool places. I hope you will like them.
We can't just say the name "Vienna", the capital of Austria, and think that all the best places are about this place. This is enough to prove that Vienna is a place worth exploring.
Over the years, I have been to Vienna many times. The leisure atmosphere, ancient history and cool feeling of this city are all addictive. There are many things to do here. When you arrive, please be sure to go to the old center, visit the Sch? nbrunn Palace and visit the performance of the National Opera House.
After that, I went to the museum area to study the treasures collected in this city.
If it doesn't attract your attention, you can take a trip to hotrod in Vienna. You will drive your own car back and forth in the city ... very interesting!
For dinner on Sunday afternoon, you can go to Buschenschank, where you can taste the best wine and snacks in Nussberg Hill Vineyard. This is really a pleasure.
At dinner, don't forget to go to Griechenbeisl to experience it. Celebrities in history will sign here. To this day, you can still see the signatures of Wagner, Beethoven and Mozart all over the ceiling.
If you have extra adventurous spirit, you can go to Gugumuck (the suburb of Vienna) for a six-course Vienna snail! A six-course meal is made of snails (including dessert).
This is an experience not to be missed.
Hallstatt often claims that this is the oldest village in Austria, but I'm not sure if this is true. One thing is certain, the scenery in Hallstatt is really amazing!
Surrounded by high mountain huts and small streets, Hallstatt has become a UNESCO world heritage and is protected by future generations.
It may be a bit troublesome to go to this city now, especially since the railway station is on the other side of the lake. In other words, you can walk around the town by ferry for a day-remember not to miss the last boat back.
Upon arrival, stroll along the side streets, relax in the central square and enjoy the unique beauty here.
If you come to this area, you can also go to the nearby Dakstan Ice Cave, which is an incredible place. Please note that there are 600 steps to climb, so this is not suitable for the timid.
Hoch Nemes is located in the west of the country. If you are a person who loves to study the history of a place, it is one of the best places in Austria.
Now, one place you can't miss is the Altim Castle in 12 century, which is very suitable for walking. Another place worth visiting is Stadtpfarrkirche or parish church, which dates back nearly 500 years. There are so many historic buildings for you to choose from.
Even better, Hohneems is surrounded by those striking Austrian mountains. All this means that there are many opportunities to ski in winter, or to slide along the snowy road in hot summer.
Wachau is one of the places that may not immediately come to mind when considering Austria, but I think it should be arranged on the itinerary. Only 90 minutes away from Vienna, this is a beautiful place, full of local vineyards, rivers and historical castles.
Once you arrive here, start along the Wachau World Heritage Trail and stop for a drink or two at spitz, Joching and Holzapfel Vineyards. After all, you have come so far and won!
In addition, you can enjoy delicious snacks and traditional Austrian lunch in Gasthof Goldenes Schiff (spitz).
If you like outdoor activities, Ehrwald is located in the beautiful Reutte area, which is one of the best places to visit in Austria.
It is located on the German border, next to Zugspitze, the incredible highest mountain in Germany.
Once you get here, you must cross the path around here. Then go to Holzerstubn to eat the best stewed beef, jiaozi. This is an appropriate thermotherapy.
For me, Seifeld is one of the best places in Austria, suitable for visiting at any season and time of the year.
Once you get here, be sure to visit St. Oswald's church or the church in West Kilcher or Lake Wilder. In summer, you can go boating and swimming on Lake Wildsey, which is the perfect choice in those hot days.
If you like hiking in summer, you can go to Kaltwassersee along the path and enjoy the incredible beauty of this area.
Further down the Danube, about 60 minutes' drive, is the charming town of Melk, which is a place worth exploring.
When you arrive here, spend a few hours exploring Melk Monastery and look at the amazing interior decoration of this monastery, which overlooks the whole area. But now, you can't take pictures in it, but please believe me, it's really beautiful here.
St. Gilgen, located at the edge of Wolfgang Lake, is one of the best tourist attractions in northern Austria.
Once you get here, you must take the steam train to the Shafberg Mountain and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. If you are a movie fan, you may recognize the Schaffberg train, which is the characteristic of the sound of music.
If you travel on the lake by boat, you will pass a magnificent building, which is the boarding school for future naval officers. But as a completely landlocked country, I'm not sure whether the navy is suitable (or not). ! ?
If you want to have a full meal, you can go to Gasthaus Gimsenwirt restaurant to enjoy delicious roast venison.
Lake Zell, located on the bank of Zell Lake, is one of the best places to visit in Austria in any season.
You see, in the winter months, the Zell River has become a ski resort. You can walk in snowshoes and see many winter wonders of skiing. Summer is just as good, so be sure to go out and enjoy the pastoral scenery. This is really a special field.
If you want to go out for a day trip from a big city, Mondesi can easily become one of the best places in Austria. It's not far from Salzburg, so it's actually easy to rent a car and explore here for a day.
Once you get here, you will almost certainly spend a lot of time on the biggest lake in Muncie!
After the tour, go to the town itself and visit the market square, a former monastery and the local parish church next to the castle.
In order to enjoy the delicious food, you can go to Gasthof Drachenwand to eat their venison, which is delicious. Even if other places in Desai and Bi Meng are more expensive, it is worthwhile to spend more money.
Gmunden is the kind of city that has everything! Beautiful castles, historic churches and Lake Traun make it one of the best places to visit Austria.
Gmunden used to be frequented by the rich. For centuries, only the Russian czar and German Caesar came here. Now, you don't need royal blood to visit. You can easily stay around for a day or two and explore the area.
Once you get here, you must visit the castle, a castle in the lake. After that, take a look at the city hall and then visit this beautiful lake.
Today, it seems that Pabneukirchen is not a typical tourist attraction, but it is a completely forgotten area in the Austrian road trip.
When you arrive here, you can live in a charming farm in Wanderreithof, Heimelsteiner, which is a place that really makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive.
After some small positioning, you will go to the surrounding area to experience horse riding and even barbecue on a crackling fire. This is really a special experience.
You can also make some furry friends here!
