How to turn a U disk into a local disk
As far as the USB flash drive is concerned, when you plug in the computer, it will appear in the column of removable devices, and generally there is only one partition! The mobile hard disk, which is displayed in the column of local disk, is more important to be partitioned at will! Now, I'll teach you how to turn a U disk into a mobile hard disk … even a mobile solid-state hard disk! What are the advantages of zoning? Of course there is! For example, separate management of public and private documents; For example, formatting after poisoning can prevent more files from being affected ... of course, it is more important to enjoy this DIY fun.

Next, I will use my USB flash drive to demonstrate.

Download ChipGenius.exe software.

After downloading, insert the USB flash drive and open the ChipGenius.exe software.

Download the corresponding mass production tools online through "chip model" or "data download". (Note: The author's USB flash drive shows "Not Found" and "Temporarily Lost" because it erased this information by itself)

Turn on my computer and confirm that the USB flash drive is connected:

The author's USB flash drive chip model is SM3255TS, which is downloaded to the corresponding mass production tools. Open the SM32xtest.exe as shown in the figure.

The following interface appears, click "Scan USB(F5)" (Chinese means "Scan USB") or press the "F5" key directly.

At this time, I found that the U disk has been displayed in the software interface (as shown in the green box below). Next, click "Settings" (which means "Settings" in Chinese, as shown in the red box below).

Enter the default password of the software in the password input box that appears: two spaces. Click "OK"

The following interface appears. Click "Open" to enter the profile setting interface.

The following figure shows the profile setting interface, in which the circled area is personalized settings. For example, the author enters his own QQ number and mobile phone number and marks it as "rice". It is particularly emphasized here that "USB-HDD" must be selected at the exclamation point, otherwise it will not succeed! ! ! The author especially emphasizes the explanation in the green box! ! ! After the configuration is completed, click OK in the lower right corner to exit the configuration interface.

Go back to the main interface of the software and click "Start (space bar)" (Chinese means "Start", or press the space bar directly). Mass production began at this time.

Until the green word "OK" appears, as shown in the figure below. Click Exit to exit the software.

Next, please unplug the USB flash drive directly, without the operation of "safely deleting hardware and ejecting media".

Unplug the USB flash drive and plug it in again, and the computer will prompt you to find new hardware. Wait a few seconds, turn on my computer and see a new disk number in the "Local Disk" column:

Then go back to the desktop, right-click my computer and click the "Manage" option.

Enter the "Computer Management" interface and click "Disk Management".

After the computer loads for a while, you can see the interface as shown below. Among them, "Disk 0" is the computer hard disk, and "Disk 1" is the "hard disk" changed from a U disk.

Right-click the disk 1 and click Delete Volume. When prompted, select Yes.

At this time, Disk 0 turns black-Unassigned. Right-click and select "New Simple Volume (I)…".

In the New Simple Volume Wizard dialog box, click Next (n).

Enter a numeric value for the simple volume size. I type "1000MB" and click "Next (n)".

Click Next (n) until you are finished.

At this time, we can see two areas: new volume (k:) and unallocated volume. Right-click Unassigned Volumes and select New Simple Volume … to repeat the above operation.

At this time, a new volume was completed. As shown in the figure below.

Open My Computer again and see if there are two new drive letters in the Local Disk column.

Now you can classify the files in the U disk, even if one disk is poisoned and needs to be formatted, it will not affect the files in the other disk.

Also need to explain, the author only divided two disks, if your U disk capacity is relatively large, you can divide more disks according to the above operation, as long as you like!

This is not over. There is also a wonderful DIY highlight, that is, the QQ number, phone number and other information we entered, here-

Finally, safely delete our DIY "mobile hard disk", over.
