Out of the mud but not stained, not spreading or branching, but not stained by the mud. Qian Tuo visited Luoyan in Yudu (now Yudu County, Jiangxi Province). In the eighth year of Jiayou's reign (1063), Renzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, "The Theory of Love of Lotus" is selected from "Collection of Zhou Yuan Gong". It is an argumentative essay written by Zhou Dunyi, a scholar of the Northern Song Dynasty. After it was washed with clear water, Zhou Dunyi and Shen Xiyan had poems carved on stone, indicating that Zhou Dunyi expressed his admiration for the lotus by saying, "I only love the lotus, which emerges from the silt but remains unstained. The pavilion is clean and planted. I asked Zhou Dunyi to write an inscription. The fragrance is far away and clear, but it does not appear seductive. It can be viewed from a distance but not played with." Zhou Dunyi He wrote "Shuo Ai Lian" as a gift.
Later, Shen Xiyan built the Lianxi Pavilion at Shanshan Mountain in Yudu. The middle is straight and the outer is straight.
