Reexamination scores will not be reduced. If the reexamination score is lower than the original score, the test center will give you the original score. So if you are unwilling to do so, it is possible to go for reconsideration.

For reconsideration, you need to apply to the exam center where you registered for the exam. You need to write an application letter (must be signed), your transcript and review fee. You can ask for reconsideration of all four parts, or you can ask for reconsideration of only the oral component. Reconsideration must be submitted within 4 weeks of receiving the transcript, and the review process lasts about 1 month.
