Use a scientific outlook to examine yourself, look for gaps, and propose measures to win membership in the party.

In order to carry out in-depth and solid activities of learning and practicing the Scientific Outlook on Development, the Party Branch of the Equipment Room organized the first discussion on emancipating the mind at 15:30 pm on April 17. At the meeting, party members of the branch held a heated discussion based on their own work, life and study realities, on how to better practice the Scientific Outlook on Development, how to truly be dedicated to their jobs, be truth-seeking and pragmatic, so as to better promote the company's development and personal progress. After in-depth discussion, many constructive opinions and suggestions were put forward.

The issue of drawing reuse discussed by Comrades Shang Wei and Yu Juan aroused everyone's deep thinking. Up to now, our company has completed more than a thousand projects and accumulated considerable engineering experience. However, at the same time, there are also some large or small loopholes in our work.

Generally speaking, when a new project is underway, we will find drawings from previous projects for reference. In this way, designers can quickly clarify the entire architecture to increase design speed. However, there are pros and cons. After the design is completed, whether during manufacturing, transportation, on-site assembly or even use, we will find problems of one kind or another, and a large part of them have been discovered and dealt with before. So why do the same problems keep popping up over and over again? There is a problem of drawing reuse. Because it is reused, we will always have confidence in the drawings we get. We always think: "This project has already been done this way", or "This equipment has been running in a certain project for many years, isn't it good? Just follow this." Then, we may In order to catch up with the progress, we do not check the basis and sources. As everyone knows, the drawings we reuse are usually copied from personal computers or base libraries, and are not necessarily the final as-built drawings. From drawings storage to equipment manufacturing, transportation, on-site assembly, trial operation and production, problems discovered during this process may not be reflected in the drawings we reuse. Therefore, the works we design in this way often repeat the modifications and adjustments of our predecessors. It is obviously repetitive work that can be avoided, but it is often the case that we do it over and over again. How to improve efficiency? How to improve efficiency? How to improve your reputation? In fact, you can start from scratch.

In response to the drawing reuse problem raised by Comrades Shang Wei and Yu Juan, Comrade Zhu Chunjin immediately proposed a solution, which received everyone's response and recognition. He suggested that we scan the reviewed white paper drawings into electronic versions and put them online for everyone to study together. Because many of the problems discovered during the school review are quite common. If you make a mistake, you will make it again. Repeatedly, it wastes a lot of unnecessary time and energy for everyone. If this suggestion can be implemented, it will definitely prevent everyone from making a lot of unnecessary mistakes, and it will also allow new employees to enter their roles faster. Reviewers will also be able to save a lot of time and have more energy to focus on deeper things. .

However, some comrades have raised doubts: The benefits of doing so are obvious, but there will be certain difficulties in implementation. Everyone loves face, especially the Chinese. Who would be so willing to use their own mistakes as a case study? Just cover up the signature. Isn’t it easy to know who painted which project and which equipment? Who read the second, third and fourth levels? It's really not easy to handle. However, if we think about it from another angle, if we had such a good platform when we first entered the company and could remind ourselves of the mistakes that we should not and do not need to make, would we have grown faster than we do now? What's better? This is far more effective than the company arranging mentors and organizing any training for new employees. It also saves everyone’s time, energy and the company’s expenses. Everyone knows that there is a saying called "Don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you." There is another saying that I believe everyone is familiar with, which is: "Do to others as you want to be treated." Only when we have the courage to admit our mistakes and face ourselves can we better face difficulties and face others, can we continue to improve, achieve better and more perfect selves, and contribute more to company development and national construction. .

When talking about the Scientific Outlook on Development, Comrade Hu Lan said that it is very timely that our party now advocates in-depth study and practice of the Scientific Outlook on Development. This year marks the 30th anniversary of reform and opening up. Thirty years before the reform and opening up, our country was eager to get rid of economic backwardness and placed great emphasis on the speed of development.

Therefore, we have tasted the sweetness of rapid development, but at the same time, many problems have arisen and we have paid a heavy price. Many of these costs are irreversible, such as environmental pollution and damage. After paying such a heavy price, we should really re-examine our own ideas. How should we continue to develop in the future? Or are you just blindly seeking speed? Of course not. What we want to follow is a path of civilized development that is comprehensively coordinated, where man and nature live in harmony, and where production is developed, life is prosperous, and the ecology is good. What we want is scientific development.

So, what is the specific situation of our company? By 2008, Wuhuan had gone through half a century of ups and downs. For half a century, despite the wind and rain, I have stood firm and moved forward steadily. Following the development of the motherland, we are prospering day by day, going abroad and going global day by day, gradually growing into an international engineering company, and moving forward step by step towards a world-class engineering company. The development of the company to what it is today is the result of the sweat and hard work of generations of Wuhuan people. However, we must admit that even with this achievement, we still cannot take it lightly. The country is now advocating good and fast development, and our company is the same. Why put "good" in front of "fast"? That is to say, we must put quality first, and then seek “fast” on the premise of “good”. The company is currently undertaking many projects, and everyone's tasks must be quite full, but we cannot ignore quality for the sake of speed. Some designers may have drawn the first level and signed the second or third level without even looking at it. I remember that a leader once said this at a meeting: "The design level of an engineering company is actually the level of reviewers. It is precisely because of a large number of reviewers with strong skills and strong sense of responsibility that our five Only then can the ring reach its current level and reach its current heights." It is true that the level of the first-level personnel is also very important, but no matter how high the level of the first-level personnel is, strict control by the second, third, or even fourth levels is required to reflect the level of the fifth ring.

The collapse of a brother company's sulfuric acid plant not only caused a direct economic loss of more than 20 million yuan, but also caused it to lose valuable markets in the Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan regions. The reason is simply that the designers reused the drawings without carefully checking them; the explosion accident that occurred at a certain site some time ago was just because of an incorrect material selection. A thousand-mile embankment collapsed in an ant nest. What can ruin a business is often just a small oversight. However, at work, there is no small thing that is so small that it can be discarded, and there is no detail that is so small that it can be ignored. The work we do seems very safe, but if there is even a slight mistake, it is likely to cause irreparable losses. This may not only affect the credibility and survival of an enterprise, but may also endanger the production safety of the owner's unit and even the lives of millions of people. Can we take this lightly? Can we be too cautious?

According to the requirements of the company’s learning and practice activities, Comrade Zhang Jiping, deputy chief engineer of the company and member of the sixth guidance liaison group for learning and practice activities, was specially invited to attend this meeting for guidance. During the meeting, Mr. Zhang imparted a lot of on-site experience to us based on his own work experience, which benefited all the participants. When talking about the on-site service of designers, Mr. Zhang described the following four levels to us:

The first level: do a good job in interpreting the drawings, supervise the on-site construction to be carried out according to the drawings and finally completed.

The second level: Make full use of on-site conditions to understand the processes of related majors and issues related to this major.

The third level: Coordinate and communicate with relevant majors, construction units, and owners to promote the smooth progress of on-site work.

Level 4: Further help on-site management to coordinate, communicate and understand. Better promote the smooth progress of on-site work.

Most of the designers on site can do the first level very well, some comrades can do the second level, and quite a few veteran comrades can do the third or even the third level. The fourth floor. Each of us, especially young comrades, should set higher standards for ourselves and maximize our potential, so that we can grow better and faster.

Mr. Zhang also mentioned a sentence we often say, which is "on-site processing". This is really a big no-no.

I would like to ask, if it cannot be expressed clearly on the drawings, how should we deal with it on site? It is very easy for us to say such a sentence, but when it comes to the site, the colleagues there may suffer greatly. Another thing is to try to avoid saying "the design is like this", because sometimes the design really "is not like this". We do a solid job in our own design, give guidance and explanations carefully, "fix it" if there is a problem, and say "this is how the design is" with caution. This is not usually what a responsible designer at an international engineering firm should say.

Mr. Zhang also said that whether it is design or on-site service, we should not always follow the example, but should always think about how we can do things better and whether there is any better way. Innovation comes from small changes. We talk about creating a learning enterprise, and every employee, especially young employees, must be mentally prepared to endure hardships. As the saying goes, "Live and learn", only by continuous learning can we continue to make progress. "Learn it well, inquire it carefully, think it carefully, discern it clearly, and practice it sincerely." "If a person can do it once, he has already achieved a hundred things; if a person can do it ten times, he has already achieved a thousand things. If you can do this, you will be wise even if you are stupid, and you will be wise even if you are gentle. We must be strong.”

At this branch meeting, many comrades also put forward some good opinions and suggestions, but due to space limitations, we cannot list them all in detail. Here, I wish that our company’s activity of learning and practicing the Scientific Outlook on Development can be carried out smoothly, and that it can be helpful to the company’s development and be beneficial to personal progress
