1, how to mark it?
Note: friends who have brushed the cracked bios must brush into the official bios first! It's already the official bios. Skip this step. It is assumed that you are not too new and know how to brush the bios.
1) first determine the slic2. 1 model corresponding to your Thinkpad model (file format with suffix. bin)。 Open Lenovo's website and search the bios download page of the corresponding model. For example, see the bios information of T400 2676, as follows:
Supported operating systems: Windows 7
Version: 3.09-1.03/3.10-1.03
Release date: 2009- 10- 17
The file name is 7uuj35us.exe.
The Bios file name of T400 2676 starts with 7u, so the Slic2. 1 corresponding to T400 2676 is a file with 7u in the file name, such as TP-7U.bin.
2) use SLIC_Dump_ToolKit to check whether there is a native SLIC in your BIOS, and select the correct slic file: users of native Slic2.0 should pay attention to Slic2. 1 table, 182 bytes (our bank T400 2767R84 in Hong Kong uses slic2. 182 bytes). Users without Slic, please pay attention to Slic2. 1 table, 374 bytes.
If you are not sure whether there is a native slic, it doesn't matter. /kloc-try both 0/82 bytes and 374 bytes, and the success is right (if you choose the wrong model, you can't mark it, there is no risk).
3) Write the dos.img image into a USB flash drive using UltraISO, and the startup disk is finished. At this point, there are three files in the USB flash drive:
DRVSPACE。 chest
IO。 System copy command (short for system)
MSDOS。 System copy command (short for system)
4) Copy Marker.exe to the USB boot disk that has been made.
5) Take the previously confirmed slic2. 1 file corresponding to your Thinkpad model, such as the slic2. 1 file of our Hong Kong bank T400 2767R84 as 7u.bin, and copy this file to the bootable USB flash drive. At this point, you should have the following five files on your USB flash drive, and everything is ready:
DRVSPACE。 chest
IO。 System copy command (short for system)
MSDOS。 System copy command (short for system)
Marker.exe
7U.bin
6) Restart the computer, press F 12 to select a USB flash drive to start DOS, and execute the following command (pay attention to spaces, and change the file in the command line to the same name as your slic2. 1 file, where my Slic2. 1 file is 7u.bin):
marker.exe/w:7u . bin/z
Execution speed is as fast as lightning!
If successful, it displays "Programming complete! ! ! "* * * * Success: Process Completed (00) * * * *" and other information, congratulations!
If it fails, you will be prompted that the slic model is not equal. At this point, you need to repeat steps 2)-5) to confirm that the correct slic2. 1 file has been updated, and then continue your efforts.
2. After successfully marking slic2. 1, restart into Windows 7 (what? You haven't installed Wwindows 7 yet? Then start the installation quickly! ), you can use SLIC_Dump_ToolKit to view Slic2. 1 information.
If the corresponding Lenovo OEM version is installed, it will be automatically activated after restarting.
If there is no automatic activation (for example, you have installed the MSDN version), you can activate it by importing the certificate and serial number. The operation is as follows (now some experts on the Internet have made an automatic import program for certificates and serial numbers, which can be downloaded and used. It's not as troublesome as the following, so I suggest you don't read it):
1) Click the Windows icon in the lower left corner of the desktop to start the start menu, type cmd in the blank line of "Search programs and files", right-click cmd.exe in the program bar that appears, and select "Run as administrator" to start the command line mode.
2) Enter slmgr.vbs -ilc certificate path \ certificate file name in the command line that appears, for example, slmgr.vbs -ilc D:\lenovo.xrm-ms, and you will be prompted that the import was successful later. Suppose the storage path and name of Lenovo certificate are as above.
3) Enter the import serial number of slmgr.vbs-ipk22tkd-F8XX6-YG69F-9M66d-PMJBM (this is the flagship OEM serial number leaked by Lenovo), and enter slmgr.vbs -ato after success.
4) Check whether it has been activated correctly.
3. Enjoy real happiness.
4. Preventive measures
Marker is now known for X200s/t, T400/500 and R400, but other models are unknown. Not on other brands!

5. What is SLIC?
SLIC is the English abbreviation of software licensing internal code, that is, software licensing internal code, which is Microsoft's operating system activation technology.
6. What is a mark?
Simply put, Marker is a 16-bit BIOS Flash software running under DOS. Unlike the general BIOS update program, marker can only write to a special area of the BIOS (that is, the SLIC table).
7. Why is it recommended to choose Marker instead of the modified BIOS?
1) Disadvantages of the modified BIOS:
Modifying the BIOS is modified by enthusiasts with the original BIOS, which has not been effectively verified, and the risk of brushing the machine is high. The modified BIOS only adds slic2. 1 to an incorrect blank module of the BIOS by modifying slic. The modified Slic2. 1 will disappear after the next BIOS update, resulting in invalid activation.
2)2) Advantages of marking:
Executed by a simple DOS flash program, it is extremely fast. If you choose the wrong slic version, it will not be refreshed, and there is almost no risk of brush failure. Slic2. 1 will be permanently solidified in the normal BIOS module, and upgrading the BIOS will not lose Slic2. 1.
3) Restrictions on marking:
Tags must be signed, verified and brushed in with the original slic file. This means that there must be a valid slic file from the original factory. For this generation of Thinkpad, such as X200/T400, this is not a problem, because there are already models with Windows 7 pre-installed, and you can enjoy it by exporting slic2. 1 from these models. Some SL400 BIOS are TP-7V, take a look for yourself.
