On August 7th, 2002, at 4pm, the "Signature Action of True Singing" initiated by Cui Jian was held in the CD bar. After reading the declaration of "True Singing Movement" drafted by Cui Jian and others, about 200 people signed their names on a piece of red cloth to ensure true singing. Taiwan Province singer Tayu Lo made a special trip here. Besides expressing his support and respect for Cui Jian, he also signed his name on "True Singing Red Cloth".
On August 7, 2003, the first anniversary of the True Singing Campaign was held in Beijing Drive-in Cinema. Nearly 2000 people, including media reporters, movie stars and fans, witnessed this historic moment. During the activity, Cui Jian reviewed the progress and social repercussions since the real singing movement was launched on August 7, 2002, and expressed satisfaction with the achievements of the real singing movement in the past year.
On the evening of August 6, 2004, at 19: 30, the second anniversary of true singing was held in Beijing Fengyuan drive-in cinema.
On the evening of August 6th, 2005, at 19: 30, the third anniversary of the True Singing Campaign initiated by Cui Jian was held in the drive-in cinema in Fengyuan. Amid cheers from many media and audiences, Cui Jian announced the newly revised Regulations on the Administration of Commercial Performances, which stipulated that lip-synching meant revocation of licenses.
