All euro notes bear the signature of the President of the European Central Bank. Therefore, when the new president of the European Central Bank took office, the signature on the euro paper money also changed. So far, the euro notes have the signatures of three different presidents. In order to prevent counterfeit money, the EU plans to introduce a new set of banknotes every seven or eight years.
Extended data:
Euro banknotes (pictured) * * * are divided into seven denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 euros, with different sizes and colors. Each denomination of banknotes shows a European architectural period, a map of Europe and a European flag.
According to the principle of equality among EU member states, the design elements on euro banknotes do not represent any physical buildings. This relatively neutral choice embodies the same values of all countries to the maximum extent, and effectively avoids the disputes caused by the design of banknotes in the euro zone countries.
There are 7 kinds of euro grass samples released by the European Monetary Bureau, with face values of 5 euros (gray), 10 euros (red), 20 euros (blue), 50 euros (orange), 100 euros (green), 200 euros (yellow) and 500 euros (purple) respectively. The ticket face consists of three basic architectural elements: window, gate and bridge, which respectively represent the spirit of openness, cooperation and exchange in the European Union.
