Passport includes passport type, country code, passport number, name, gender, ID number, date of birth, place of birth, date of issue, validity period, place of issue and other information, and the rest is gone!

The common passport currently used by China citizens is the 92nd passport (developed in 1992). With the change of the situation, the defects and deficiencies in the content design, production technology and anti-counterfeiting technology of the 92 edition passport are becoming more and more obvious, which can no longer meet the needs of foreign exchanges and passport management. To this end, the Ministry of Public Security developed a new version of the passport (that is, the 97th version of the passport) in 1997 and finalized it in 1999, and decided to promote it step by step in all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government this year. Jiangsu and Shanghai were put into trial operation in June this year 1, and nine provinces and cities including Beijing, Henan, Shandong, Tianjin, Hubei, Anhui, Hebei, Fujian and Jiangxi were put into operation in July this year. Our province and eleven provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities including Liaoning, Jilin, Zhejiang, Guangxi, Hainan, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan and Shaanxi, as the second batch of provinces, began to open in June this year at 65438+ 10. After the opening of the 97th passport, the current 92nd ordinary passport will no longer be issued, and the original 92nd passport can still be used within the validity period, but it will not be extended.

What are the main features of the 97 passport?

● The cover color is rose purple (the 92nd passport is purplish red), and the specification is 88x 125mm (the same as the 92nd passport); ?

● The second seal is the information page of the holder, and the third seal is the information page of the holder and the signature page of the holder, with a total of 32 pages in the passport. ?

● Compared with the second cover of the 92nd edition passport, the columns of "Identity" and "Marital Status" are cancelled, and the columns of "Date of Issue" and "Place of Issue" are moved from 1 page to the information page; ?

● Passport number is 9 digits, 1 digit is the letter "G", and the remaining 8 digits are Arabic numerals (92 version passport number is 9 digits). ?

● Print the holder's photos and information with a laser printer, automatically generate an international standard machine-readable code, and transfer the plastic seal with a special anti-counterfeiting film (the 92nd passport is pasted with photos, and the plastic seal film is too plastic, so the photos are easy to be exposed and replaced, and the plastic seal film is easy to bubble and crack). ?

● Compared with the 92-edition passport, the 97-edition passport has been greatly improved in content design, manufacturing technology, anti-counterfeiting technology, etc. In terms of passport management, it has referred to international common practices and adopted many advanced technologies, which has made our ordinary passports reach the international advanced level.

Personal applications are only for personal ordinary passports, and there are no travel passports and work passports, which are distinguished by visas.
