Yuzuru Hanyu, male, born on December 7, 1994 in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, is a Japanese men's single figure skater.

In February 2014, he won the gold medal at the Sochi Winter Olympics and became the first Asian Winter Olympics men's single skating champion. In March, he won the World Figure Skating Championships, achieving a grand slam in the Olympics, World Championships, and Grand Prix Finals.
