Introduction to Lu Jun:
Even if one day, it becomes a meteor and falls into the sky, it will leave a shining light trail in the sky. -Huang Bingxin, a "test flight hero".
Lu Jun, born on June 26th, 1956. 1972 enlisted, and was born as the former deputy chief of staff of the Air Force Flight Test Corps (first-class test pilot) and vice president of China Test Pilot College. He has served as the chief test pilot of multi-type aircraft in China, and is the first person in stall spin test flight of domestic delta wing aircraft. He has made great contributions to China's aviation industry and successfully completed foreign training tasks for many times. With excellent results, he obtained the graduation certificate issued by Russian Test Pilot Academy, won the second class and the third class of China People's Liberation Army, and was awarded many merits and awards by the Ministry of Aviation. He is an excellent air force test pilot. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Wang Qi, a researcher at the Flight Test Institute, led Lu Jun and Lei Qiang to learn modern airplane flight in Russia. Lu Jun, then deputy chief of staff of the test flight group, was one of the most admired China test pilots in the Russian Test Flight Academy. He can only fly on Su -27, Su -30, MiG -29 and Tu-154 for a few days. At that time, Lu Jun was sitting in the front seat as a student, and the Russian ace test pilot was sitting in the back seat as a teacher. The backseat coach only switches control as a last resort in an emergency. But after only a few days, lujun mastered all his skills, even better than the teachers in many aspects. Russian ace test pilot gave him a thumbs-up and soon let him fly solo. When he was leaving, he specially gave his own graphic prints and signatures to Lu Jun as a souvenir.
1991July 8, another scientific research flight is about to set sail. The test flight was carried out by Lu Jun, the full-time deputy chief of staff of a test flight regiment of the Air Force and vice president of China Test Pilot College. Lu Jun was praised by Russian test flight experts as one of the top test pilots in China at that time. At that time, only he flew "MIG-21BIS" (Y) aircraft over high angle of attack, stall spin test flight and other difficult subjects recognized by the world aviation community, which filled the gap in China's aviation industry. When he flies "Flying Leopard", the take-off angle of attack is often 80 degrees, almost 500 meters, then he takes off vertically, and then flies backwards to level off. "Flying Leopard" accelerates in the air, flying at a speed of over 2000 kilometers per hour. Entering Henan, Lu Jun habitually looked at the fuel meter, and was surprised: the fuel quantity is decreasing rapidly! Lu Jun, who has rich flying experience, immediately realized that the plane was leaking oil! He has taken all measures, but the oil quantity is still falling sharply. He shouted into the microphone: "No.1, 1, No.5 leaked oil, requesting to return." As soon as the airport commander answered the phone, he immediately realized that it was a serious air fault and immediately replied: "Return quickly on the 5 th, pay attention to safety!" At the same time, let all planes over the airport avoid. "Flying Leopard" finally appeared at the end of the runway. Generally, returning planes have to make a small route, that is, turn around and land. In order to save fuel, the army aimed directly at the runway and lowered the altitude. At this time, the "flying leopard" is like a sprinkler, pulling up a thick oil mist and seeing it clearly between the blue sky and green space. "Flying Leopard" landed safely, with only 30 liters of oil left in the fuel tank! Hanging like this! A little later, the plane crashed and people died, which would be a tragedy. Afterwards, it was found that an oil hose of the plane fell off, causing oil leakage. Four years later, on April 4th, 1994, Lu Jun spilled blood at the airport during a training session at the age of 38. The bad news shook the whole airport city and shocked the aviation industry in China. After the sacrifice, lujun was remembered as the first-class hero of "Flying Leopard".
