The computer cannot download software or files

1. Open IE and select Tools/Internet Options/Security/Custom Level in Security/Click "File Download" in the drop-down list of settings Set to enable, "Automatic prompt for file download" to disable, and "Font download" to enable. After setting, click OK and Apply.

2. Open IE and select Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/uncheck "Check the signature of downloaded programs" in the lower list of settings, and check "Allow running or installation of software even if the signature is invalid. ” and press Apply to confirm.

3. If the download failure persists, run and enter Gpedit.msc to confirm opening the group policy, select User Configuration/Windows Components/Internet Explorer on the left/double-click "Security Features" on the right/double-click "Restricted Files" Download"/There are three options on the right side: "Internet Explorer Process", "Process List" and "All Processes" to see if their status options are "Not configured" or "Disabled". If a configuration is "Enabled", double-click the item to select back to the "Not Configured" setting, and click Apply to confirm each item. After the final settings are completed, restart the computer.

4. If the download failure persists, modify the registry to enable IE to download. Run and enter regedit to confirm, open the registry and locate the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings\Zones\3] subkey. Find and double-click the key value item named "1803" in the window on the right. In the dialog box, change the value to "0" (if it is already 0, don't change it). After confirmation, restart the computer and the settings will take effect.
