Format of standard prescription
The records of patients' general situation and clinical diagnosis should be clear and complete, and consistent with the medical records. Each prescription is limited to one patient. The handwriting is clear and shall not be altered. If any modification is needed, it shall be signed at the modification place and the date of modification shall be indicated. Prescriptions are written in standardized Chinese or English names.
According to Article 2 of the Prescription Management Measures, prescriptions refer to registered medical practitioners and assistant medical practitioners. Hereinafter referred to as pharmaceutical professional and technical personnel, it refers to those who are prescribed by doctors for patients in medical activities and have obtained the qualifications for pharmaceutical professional and technical positions. Hereinafter referred to as the medical documents that are examined, deployed and checked by pharmacists as the patient's medication certificate.
Prescriptions include medical institution ward medication orders. Prescription is a written certificate for doctors to use drugs for patients, and it is the basis for pharmacists to allocate drugs, which has legal, technical and economic responsibilities.
At present, some medical units have begun to use electronic prescriptions. The "Prescription Management Measures" promulgated by the Ministry of Health in 2007 stipulates that when doctors use computers to prescribe and transmit ordinary prescriptions, they should print out paper prescriptions at the same time, and the printed paper prescriptions are valid only after they are signed or sealed.
