Goofy (meaning stupid) is one of Disney's classic animated characters. It first appeared as an audience in 1932' s Mickey Mouse satire. At that time, its harsh laughter made it stand out from the crowd. Goofy is a kind but inflexible dog. He is in sharp contrast with Pluto.
