General contracts do not require fingerprinting. After both parties sign or seal the contract, the contract generally becomes effective. The purpose of fingerprinting is to make an appraisal in case of a dispute.

Legal basis: Contract Law of the People's Republic of China

Article 32: If the parties conclude a contract in the form of a contract, the contract shall be established when both parties sign or seal it.

Article 44 A contract established in accordance with the law shall take effect from the time of its establishment.

If laws and administrative regulations stipulate that approval, registration and other procedures must be completed to take effect, such provisions shall prevail.
