"The army is rolling forward" is the official song of the American army, which is often called "military song". This song was composed by the field artillery lieutenants (later promoted to brigadier general) Edmund L.Gruber and Robert Danford (later promoted to major general) when they were stationed in Camp Stosburg, Philippines in March 1908. This song quickly became popular in artillery units. 19 17, john philip sousa (a famous American music conductor who has written many famous songs) was asked by the secretary of the navy and captain of the 306th artillery regiment to compose a March with this song called Song of Magazine. According to this song, Susa wrote the March of Field Artillery. This piece of music sold 75 copies. Nevertheless, this song was not selected as a US Army song, because it was too inclined to American artillery.
Looking for standard military songs
When the US Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard all have their own official songs, the Army is eager to have their own. 1948, the army launched a military song contest, but none of the songs won wide support. 1952, Minister of the Army Frank Pace asked the music industry to provide military songs, and the other party provided 800 lyrics. Among them, Sam Sticott's Where is the Army Headquarters won wide support. 1953 1 On October 20th, a military band played this song at the inauguration ceremony of President Eisenhower. However, because the tune of this song is similar to "I have a bunch of lovely coconuts" (a popular game song in the 1940s), the army decided to keep the tune of "Song of the Ammunition Box". So I chose the lyrics of Harold W. Ahlberg, the music assistant of the Chief of Staff. Wilbur Ma Wally Blackwell, the Secretary of the Army, announced this song at 1956 Veterans' Day. This song will be played at the main ceremony of the army, and all officers and men of the army are required to sing this song. When more than one military song is played, it is in the order of Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.

Over hills and valleys, we set foot on dusty paths.
When our ammunition box rolls. (Our ammunition box sweeps)
Up and down, in and out, (up and down, inside and out)
Step back, turn right, (turn back to the original position)
Because this is hi-hi-hi-hi.
In the Fifth Artillery Corps (in the 15th Artillery Corps)

Until our last ride, (until our last attack)
This will always be our pride (this will always be our honor)
Let these ammunition boxes move on.
(keep them rolling-keep them rolling) (let them go-let them go)
Let these ammunition boxes move on.
(B-a-t-t-e-r-y H-a-l-t! Artillery!-Stop! )

"Marine Corps Hymn" is the standard military song of the United States Marine Corps and the oldest military song among the five major services in the United States. The lyrics of this song must be19th century, but the author is unknown. The music comes from a French opera premiered in 1859. The US Marine Corps obtained the copyright of this song in August 19 19, but now this song belongs to the public.

American Air Force Military Song: "American Air Force"
The United States Air Force is the standard military song of the United States Air Force, sometimes called Let's Go Up, Let's Fly to the Blue Distance or Blue Distance.
This song was originally "Song of Army Air Force", and the lyrics and songs were written by US Army Captain robert crawford at 1939. 1937, Arnold, deputy commander of the Army Air Force, suggested to his boss Oscar Westowen that his subordinates needed a song to praise their troops and proposed to hold a prize-winning competition. But because the army aviation does not have its own finance (how is it possible? ), a prize of 1000 dollars was awarded by Freedom magazine. 757 songs were selected, and none of them satisfied the Committee. 1938 Arnold took over from Western European who died in an air crash as commander of the air force, but even the lyrics of the famous lyricist Evan Berlin could not satisfy him. Just before the end of the competition, Crawford's lyrics took part in the competition and won the grand prize. Although Arnold liked this song very much and wanted to promote it to the public, the Air Force lacked funds to form its own band. With the consent of the government, Crawford sold the copyright to new york music publisher Fisher Company. Therefore, unlike other services, the US Air Force does not have its own military songs.
Main idea of lyrics:
All the lyrics are as follows:
The first section:
Let's fly to the blue distance, (let's fly to the blue distance)
Climb high to the sun; (Fly high into the sky, towards the sun)
They rushed to meet our thunder, (the enemy flew to avoid our lightning)
Guys, give her the gun! Aim at them, boys, and show them some color! )
We dive and splash our flames from below.
Roared away! * (leaving a hellish roar)
We live in fame, or we are destroyed in flames. Hey! (We live in flames, or we die in flames)
Nothing can stop the US Air Force! No one can stop the United States Air Force! )
The second paragraph:
The human mind creates a box of lightning, (the human brain creates a box full of lightning)
Send it to the blue sky; (Let it fly high into the sky)
Human hands blow the world to pieces; (Human hands create the thunder of destruction)
Only God knows how they live! Only God knows how they live! )
The human soul dreams of the skill of conquering the sky.
Gave us wings to fly! Give us wings and fly high! )
There used to be scouts and bombers. Hey! (Aerial reconnaissance, bombers whistling, hi! )
Nothing can stop the US Air Force! No one can stop the United States Air Force! )
The third paragraph:
Let's fly to the distant sky, (let's fly to the blue distance)
Keep the wings level and true; (Let our wings be flat and real)
If you want to be a miracle with white hair (if you want to be a handsome guy with white hair)
Keep your nose away from blue! Then turn to the blue sky! )
Flying man, defending the national border, (air force defending the national border)
We'll be there, and there will be more! We will arrive soon, and more people will come.
We move on in the echelon. Hey! (In our echelon, hi! )
Nothing can stop the US Air Force! Nothing can stop the US Air Force! )
