Learning calligraphy is not a very fashionable thing, but occasionally I want to write beautiful handwriting. At school, several students held ordinary red copybooks, and the results drawn were not much different from those written by himself. As for why I paint, most of them want to write better. At least I didn't hear any classmate tell me to learn calligraphy to draw this thing. In fact, what they mean is just to write better.
Good words and good-looking words are not the same concept. To put it bluntly, Zhong You's words are good words, Erwang's words are good words, drunken words are good words, and Su Huang's camouflage words are also good words. The horizontal, vertical and extremely neat words used by examiners in Ming and Qing dynasties are not good words, but beautiful words. This is a practical word. If a modern secretary can write such words, I think the boss will praise you. But this has nothing to do with calligraphy. It's just a kind of "personal practical writing". The most basic requirements and characteristics are standard, easy to read and beautiful.
This article is written for friends who want to write beautiful handwriting because of work needs, but don't want to learn calligraphy or have no time. It is my personal opinion to declare in advance. It is better to ignore the mistakes and not delay others. I thanked him first.
Writing is for practice.
Everyone wants to write beautiful Chinese characters, so we must know why they are not beautiful and how the roots are formed. (Note that it is not the root cause, but the formation of the root cause) The result of my personal analysis is:
First, there is no good writing talent.
Second, after I was born, I have never been influenced by Chinese characters.
Third, I studied Chinese characters when I was a child, and I didn't get a complete and correct Chinese character education.
Fourthly, the heavy academic burden related to Chinese characters and the need for long-term writing lead to the strengthening of mechanical writing mode.
5. I didn't correct Chinese characters in time, didn't realize the importance of writing Chinese characters in time, didn't take the initiative to correct myself, or didn't do it in time although I knew it.
These are the main ones. Let's analyze them one by one.
First, there is no good writing talent.
Some people will faint. Seriously, there are people who are born to write well. ! ! Objectively speaking, there is. Why do many people have the same problems as themselves, but write better? Of course, his handwriting may not look good, but it's better than ordinary handwriting. Could it be caused by his habit or natural coordination ability? I don't understand this either, but there must be some habitual reasons. But for friends who want to write beautifully, writing talent is not very important at all. If you don't have talent, spend a few more hours studying at most. No big deal.
Second, after I was born, I have never been influenced by Chinese characters.
Even if you have no talent for writing, if you are well influenced, it will have a great influence on your writing, at least better than no influence at all. This is what I learned from practice. Even in school, teachers, classmates and classmates will have an influence, just depending on whether you accept it or not. There is no need to preach. The people near Zhu Zhechi are really black. It seems that it is better not to watch or listen to bad things on the Internet or other media.
But this point is not crucial to the root cause of ugly words, and it is not much different from the first item.
Third, I studied Chinese characters when I was a child, and I didn't get a complete and correct Chinese character education.
This is very important, and the fundamental reason why many friends didn't write beautiful and cool words later is formed from here.
My Chinese character education in school is limited to font (how to write a correct Chinese character), pronunciation (how to read a correct Chinese character), meaning (what does a correct Chinese character mean, what does it mean) and word formation and sentence making. Just now, I asked my seven-year-old sister. Like me, Chinese characters are probably spoken in primary education now. The reason for word formation has nothing to do with today's topic. For a Chinese character, this is all we have left. In the long run, everyone will form a concept. When they see "pen", they may think of the pen, its pronunciation and font, that is, the bamboo prefix at the top and the hair at the bottom. When you write, just write it out. Why do you write like this? How did it develop into this? What is its most primitive form? We know nothing about it. Nobody told us. What's more, we were told that there was something wrong with the composition of Chinese characters. Name a line with so many complicated concepts. It completely distorts the true colors and true colors of the lines in Chinese characters (haha, it seems that ancient education is not 100% backward, and today's education is not 100% scientific advanced), which leads us to think only about the collection of these three things, plus the horizontal and vertical, and so on. Form an unconscious concept, and the concept of this Chinese character is closed and incomplete. When writing, our thinking is completely confined in such a closed and incomplete concept, which we didn't realize when we were young, and now we don't realize it after a long time. This is one of the reasons why we can't write our favorite kind words on our own initiative after being imprisoned for many years.
Another point is that when learning Chinese characters, there is no correct, systematic and continuous Chinese writing training. This is one of the reasons why I can't write beautiful words now.
Fourthly, the heavy academic burden related to Chinese characters and the need for long-term writing lead to the strengthening of mechanical writing mode.
Originally, when I was studying Chinese characters, I didn't receive correct, systematic and continuous Chinese character writing training. I have to write a lot of homework every day, and these homework only require correctness. Usually, a grade 12 student writes his homework correctly and carefully, so even if the handwriting is ugly, the teacher usually doesn't feel deeply responsible. With the growth of grade, the requirements for words are getting lower and lower, and students themselves are becoming more and more relaxed. You can see all kinds of characters when you go to college, which is really sad.) There is not much demand for the aesthetics of Chinese characters. Even if there is a requirement, it is just neat, not necessarily beautiful. Therefore, when writing a book, students can ignore the beauty of Chinese characters and pursue efficiency, because if they finish the homework assigned by the school quickly, they can finish the homework assigned by their parents quickly and rest early. It's really pathetic. But the final result is: because of too much pressure, when we write, we only execute the simplest and fastest instructions received by the brain, and the brain only judges whether the Chinese characters are correct, but basically does not judge whether the Chinese characters are beautiful. The long-term pursuit of efficiency and high speed has formed a mechanical model similar to mechanized mass production between the brain and the hand. After years of repeated reinforcement, as long as we pick up a pen to write, we are used to falling into this mode naturally and without thinking at all, and writing in this mode. Those who write beautifully by nature also have this mechanical model in it. Once I met a classmate in an adjacent class face to face, and I told him that he would help him break through this pattern. In fact, the slower he writes, the more subjective he is, so as to break through, or sometimes he can't help falling into the pattern he has formed. This is why many people say, "I want to write well, but I can't write well."
5. I didn't correct Chinese characters in time, didn't realize the importance of writing Chinese characters in time, didn't take the initiative to correct myself, or didn't do it in time although I knew it.
In the early process of strengthening the model, it has not been corrected. I don't know, and nobody told me. In this way, it is more difficult to correct it now. In addition, some friends know that they want to change the state of writing Chinese characters, but they have not taken action, and may feel indifferent. Anyway, others know their own words. But now for some other reason. For example, the needs of work. This is the same as the former, which increases the difficulty of correction.
The above five items ultimately lead to three fundamental reasons for not writing beautiful words:
A, understanding (concept) error
Second, the level of writing is low (lack of skills)
Third, the limitations of mechanical mode.
In fact, writing beautiful words is very simple. The reason why some people find it difficult and some people practice for a long time with little effect is because the method is wrong. It is impossible to find fish from the edge of the tree. I don't need to tell you how to pull out the memory in the TV. But it's very simple in the computer mainframe.
It is not difficult to break the mistakes and limitations of ideas, just understand the truth.
Writing must be strengthened. The so-called strengthening is not to strengthen the strength of writing, nor to grasp the pen hard. Is to enhance the understanding of two-dimensional plane, so that you can draw a line where you want on a piece of paper, and this line is what you need, what you need is a straight line or a straight line or an arc. Don't think it's simple, but it's not difficult for practical writing.
The breaking of mechanical mode is included in the process of correcting wrong concepts and strengthening writing.
After solving these three fundamental problems, the correct writing mechanism is established, that is, the brain sends out writing instructions, the hand writes according to the requirements of the brain (not according to the habit pattern formed by its own hand), and the position, length and thickness of each line are determined according to the requirements of the brain. After the line is finished, you should always judge whether it is done according to your own requirements. So feedback each other, heart to heart.
Then learn some structural knowledge of modern Chinese characters. This kind of structural knowledge is found in many textbooks and online, and the content is basically the same. But you don't have to do exactly what you say, you have to choose according to your own preferences. Because the structure of Chinese characters is flexible. The same Chinese characters can give people more than one or two aesthetic structures. So I never like to talk about how to start and close a pen, and how long and how short it should be under any circumstances. There is no need. If you insist on doing this, you will annihilate everyone's personality. Because these can be flexible. (For example, the word "Tian" is generally shorter in the first horizontal direction than in the second horizontal direction, but can't it be written as long or even slightly longer in the first horizontal direction? The words "Peng", "Ming" and "Lin" must be written small on the left and large on the right. Can't it be as big as the left and right? Do the words "cover", "basin" and "read" have to be supported at the bottom? Cann't it be the same width up and down? However, some friends can write beautifully without learning these things. We need beautiful words and personality, and we don't have to be beautiful to have personality.
Practice familiarity like this. It won't be long before your handwriting can turn an ugly duckling into a swan. This is the first step, and the second step can be done or not. If you want to add icing on the cake to your own words, do it, that is, improve and modify the quality of the lines themselves. When you get to the second level, you don't have to say anything. Just find a few posts and learn by yourself. The copybook of brush and hard pen depends on you. In fact, the second step, even if I don't want to learn calligraphy, I began to transition to learning calligraphy. That is to say, the transition from writing beautiful words to writing good words began.
In fact, it is very simple and easy to write beautiful words. Some friends may say that what I did was useless. In fact, in the process of changing your own handwriting, the most difficult thing is to break the wrong writing mode in understanding and practice. It is easier to establish a correct writing mode of cognition and practice. Completing these two processes will definitely have an effect.
Methods to correct concepts
Regarding the concept of correcting Chinese characters, it is best to teach face to face. I said that writing two-way communication is the most intuitive and effective.
First, it is mainly to break the misconception that Chinese characters are composed of horizontal and vertical strokes. Chinese characters are composed of lines, and even the so-called hooks and dots are just short lines. For example, the word "Bi" is composed of a line from top to bottom+a line from left to right+a line from bottom to top+a diagonal line from upper right to lower left. Instead of the concept of vertical hook+left in primary school.
The brain should always supervise its own hands and ask its own hands to obey the command of the brain every time it does a line. This is very, very important.
Second, the pen is just a tool for making threads. When using it, you can think of it as a knife or a long stone, but don't think of it as a pen. This is more important.
Third, paper is just a two-dimensional plane for making lines, with no thickness and no boundaries. Don't think I use too much paper when I use it. This is not very important.

Methods of strengthening writing
Personally, I suggest Oracle Bone Inscriptions, Jin Wen and seal script.
Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Jinwen can effectively break the interference of sound, form and meaning of Chinese characters. Anyway, you don't know, you don't know what sound to read, and you don't know its meaning. (and I don't know these words. It's best not to know them. If you really want to know their pronunciation and meaning, you can wait until your handwriting is beautiful. This forces you to pay attention to the beauty of words when painting red.
Oracle Bone Inscriptions, Jin Wen and Xiao Zhuan are all beneficial to the understanding of plane, and their structures are different from those of modern Chinese characters, which also play a great role in breaking the long-term mechanical writing mode.
The line structure of Xiao Zhuan is mostly simpler than that of Da Zhuan. It is recommended to use the bronze inscriptions in Jialiang, Xin Mang, mainly to train the sense of balance and even line spacing of Chinese characters. It's just that this picture is not easy to find on the Internet. In Oracle Bone Inscriptions, most people carve a line with one knife, and when they use it, they also look for words about the same size as usual. You can find pictures online, print them out and cover them with paper towels. You can buy it in the bookstore now. When drawing, it's not just a matter of drawing lines once. In the whole process, be careful not to be too fast, and carefully understand the difference between writing and usual writing. Apply this feeling to your usual writing. Break and replace the previous mechanical writing mode, otherwise the effect may not be ideal. Draw for a while and write word by word. Don't draw blindfolded. If your handwriting is more beautiful in the near future, you can learn from other copybooks. In fact, your purpose of writing beautiful words at that time has been achieved. It is recommended to use a pen with a thick nib. It's common and easy to buy, and it's better to use a bamboo pen. After cutting the nib with a bamboo tube, I saw a very thin seam, the position of which was the same as that on the nib. It is also possible to dip ink in the bamboo tube or put some silk and hemp with ink. This is our own invention, not because of the pen. China has existed since ancient times, with archaeological objects as evidence. In addition, the more expensive the pen, the better. For practical writing, I personally think that using a bad pen has another advantage.

On writing methods
Whether it is a calligraphy work or a general practical writing, the final result, purpose and requirement are to make lines on paper. Rather than the production process, discussing the production process is only to better achieve the production purpose. So in theory, no matter what kind of writing method, as long as beautiful and readable Chinese characters are finally formed on paper, it is ok. But in practice, there are some methods that not only greatly slow down the writing speed, but also have an impact on the writer's vision. Therefore, I recommend to use the pen-lifting method recognized by the society at present, as well as the sitting posture when writing, which is found in various teaching materials and will not be repeated here.

I hope everyone can learn calligraphy and do their part to promote national culture and propagate national spirit.
I hope everyone can write beautiful Chinese characters.
