I failed a class in college and I can’t pass the make-up exam. I don’t want to fail, what should I do?

You can choose to retake it or take the make-up exam in your senior year.

The consequence of taking a make-up exam in college is that you have to retake it in the next academic year (re-study the corresponding course, take the exam again at the end of the semester, and only after passing the exam can you get the corresponding credit). Because of the credit system adopted in China, only those who pass the corresponding courses will receive the corresponding credits. If they fail (fail the course), they will have to make up the exam, and if they fail the make-up exam, they will have to retake it.

Generally speaking, university regulations state that if you don’t have enough credits or fail too many courses, you will not be able to get a degree certificate, so failing courses should be avoided as much as possible.

After failing a course, you will have an opportunity to make up the exam. If you fail the make-up exam, you can choose to retake it. However, if you pass the make-up exam, the graduation result will show the record of the make-up exam, and if you retake the exam, the original score will be overwritten.
