Kou Qianzhi is a famous Taoist Celestial Master in my country. He was born in the Northern Wei Dynasty. He is a famous reformer in the history of Taoism in China. His influence at that time can be seen as average. However, this is how the famous Celestial Master was considered. Master, why doesn’t anyone worship him? Because Kou Qianzhi's Taoist reforms set off a massive campaign to exterminate Buddhism, countless monks and people suffered misfortune, and he himself had no successors. Apart from him, there was no one who was astonishingly talented and beautiful, so there will be no one in the future. People worship.
1. Kou Qianzhi’s strange experience
According to Jukao, Kou Qianzhi was from Shaanxi, my country, and was born into a family of officials. However, Kou Qianzhi himself had no intention of an official career, and instead concentrated on Taoist practice. He insists on chanting sutras and meditating at home every day, and teaches himself how to make alchemy. His greatest wish in life is to practice Taoism and become an immortal. When he was visiting his aunt's house, he asked for a strong slave named Cheng Gongxing. On one day, Kou Qianzhi used "Zhou Pi Suan Jing" to deduce the movement patterns of the five planets and the sun and the moon, but always failed. The calculation was wrong. In anger, Cheng Gongxing recommended his own algorithm, and Kou Qianzhi quickly figured it out. Only then did he understand that the master is in the world. Kou Qianzhi immediately wanted to worship Cheng Gongxing as his teacher, so the two of them went to the mountains to practice Taoism. Seven years later, Cheng Xinggong bid farewell and revealed to Kou Qianzhi that he was a disciple of the Immortal. He was knocked down and punished for making a careless mistake. Now that the punishment period has expired, he is going back. He also comforted Kou Qianzhi that although he was practicing Taoism, If you are diligent but do not stop your emotions and desires, you cannot become an immortal, you can only become an emperor's teacher. Yu Guan then flew away into the air and disappeared. From then on, Kou Qianzhi began to recruit disciples and promote Taoism.
2. Reform of Taoism
30 years after Kou Qianzhi began to accept disciples, Kou Qianzhi was 60 years old and began to join the world. At that time, he already had a lot of wealth. Because of his fame, the then ruler Tuoba Tao hosted a banquet in honor of him. During the banquet, Kou Qianzhi told Tuoba Tao his legendary experience, and said that the Supreme Lord once came to him in the clouds and mist. He was given twenty volumes of scriptures and asked to organize Taoism in the world. But Tuoba Tao was doubtful, and other ministers also thought he was talking nonsense. Only Cui Hao, Tuoba Tao's first adviser, strongly supported Kou Qianzhi, and with the help of Kou Qianzhi, Taoism took root in the north and spread widely, making the Xianbei people Comprehensive Chinese language. In one of Tuoba Tao's battles, both Kou Qianzhi and Cui Hao supported him and strictly knew victory. The battle was truly won. Moreover, from then on, Kou Qianzhi's predictions were very accurate, and Tuoba Tao began to expand. Ba Tao began to help Kou Qianzhi reform Taoism.
3. Reform was exploited by politics, and the destruction of Buddhism changed the flavor of reform
After the Taoist reform, Tuoba Tao began to use Taoism to attack the status of Buddhism in the hearts of the people, and used Taoism to Ruling the country, all Buddhism is hypocritical and absurd and called monsters. Everyone is prohibited from making offerings to Buddhism and monks. Once discovered, the entire family will be killed. He also issued an edict: All temples and Buddha statues should be destroyed and burned; anyone who worshiped or made Buddha statues would be beheaded, and all monks, old and young, would be buried alive. As the Taoist leader at the time, Kou Qianzhi believed that the world should be diversified and peaceful. The destruction of Buddhism would cause a fierce backlash from society, but Tuoba Tao and Cui Hao at the time turned a deaf ear to it. He still carried out tyranny and built the "Jinglun Temple" for Kou Qianzhi in an attempt to communicate with the gods by climbing to the Temple. However, the project was too huge. It took 18 years for the Temple to be built and it was still not completed. Due to the huge cost, the prince and many others were attacked. The minister strongly objected. Kou Qianzhi was already in his twilight years, but he had no successors. Three years after destroying the Buddha, Kou Qianzhi passed away at the age of 83.
Due to the activities to exterminate Buddhism, countless innocent monks and people lost their lives, and Kou Qianzhi’s disciples were all inactive. After his death, the people’s anger reached its peak, so there will be few people in future generations. Go and worship him.
