Civilis (Corpus Juris, also known as IURIS), also known as Justinian Code or Complete Works of Laws of Various Countries, is an assembly code ordered by Emperor Justinian I of the Eastern Roman Empire and a master of Roman law.

Law consists of four parts, namely, code, theory compilation, legal ladder and new law. The content of the code is the imperial edict of the Eastern Roman Empire, the legal interpretation of authoritative jurists, and the introductory textbook for law students. After the completion of the whole compilation project, it is forbidden to make any comments or other legislation on the encyclopedia of civil law. This law laid the foundation for later jurisprudence, especially the civil code of civil law system, and it is one of the indispensable and important materials for legal researchers to study civil law.
