When downloading software, users can verify that the source of the software is credible through digital signature, and confirm that the software has not been illegally tampered with or implanted with virus trojans, thus protecting users from viruses, malicious codes and spyware, protecting the interests of software developers, and making the software quickly and safely released on the Internet.
Software without digital signature may not work properly. Take Windows system as an example. If users download and run unsigned software, Windows will issue a red security warning. For unsigned ActiveX controls, Windows will intercept them directly and will not allow them to run. Therefore, digital signature is an essential process before software release.
2. The digital certificate (code signing certificate) is issued by the authoritative CA organization (Wotong CA) as a certified developer. Developers use WoSign code signing certificate and code signing wizards to digitally sign the software, which can prevent the software from being implanted with virus Trojans, reduce the interception of Windows systems, and let users install and use it smoothly.
