Guo Ailun, born on November 14, 1993 in Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province, is a Chinese professional basketball player who serves as a point guard and plays for the Liaoning Hengye Flying Leopards Basketball Club.
The Liaoning Bengang Team of the Liaoning Hengye Feibao Club was formerly the Northeast Sports Training Class Basketball Team established in 1953 with the approval of the Northeast People's Government, and was later changed to the Liaoning Provincial Basketball Team. The best performance between 1996 and 2016 was to win the league runner-up six times, making it the CBA team with the most overall runner-up finishes.
In September 2005, Guo Ailun entered the Liaoning Panpan youth team. In the 2009 Asian Youth Basketball Championship, Guo Ailun averaged 19.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game to lead the Chinese team to the championship. In 2010, Guo Ailun made a splash at the U17 World Youth Basketball Championship. He averaged 22.4 points per game and was elected as the scoring champion, and led the Chinese team to seventh place, the best result in history. In August 2010, Guo Ailun was selected for the national team to compete in the World Championships in Türkiye. He started his CBA career in the same year and was selected into the CBA All-Star lineup three times during this period.
In the 2015 NBA draft, according to NBA regulations, Guo Ailun, who met the age limit, automatically participated in the draft. ESPN experts predicted that he would be selected by the 76ers with the 60th overall pick, but he was not selected in the end.
On April 22, 2018, Guo Ailun won the 2017-18 CBA championship with the Liaoning team.
