After two years in the provincial team, Li Ju entered the national team.
Improved very quickly in the national team and was able to compete in international competitions in a short period of time. In 2000, the doubles partner of Li Ju and Wang Nan won the Olympic doubles championship. After winning the championship, Li Ju chose to retire.
