I. Types and differences of bank cards
Bank cards include credit cards and debit cards. What is the difference between them?
1. The signature column of a credit card has seven digits, but most savings cards don't.
2. There is a laser anti-counterfeiting signature on the back of the credit card, but there is almost no savings card.
Almost all credit cards have "cardholder's signature" under the signature column. Although there is the word "invalid without signature", all savings cards have the word "cardholder's signature" on the right side of the signature column.
Credit card can be overdrawn, but debit card can never be overdrawn.
In addition, credit cards generally charge an annual fee, but debit cards are not accepted.
8. Improper use of the credit card will affect the credit file, which will affect buying a house and a car in the future, while the debit card will not affect the credit because it does not involve overdraft;
9. Credit card issuers and merchants often hold various activities together, such as restaurant coupons and gasoline coupons. And the debit card does not exist at all.
Second, the process of applying for credit card and debit card
When applying for a credit card, you need to bring your valid ID card (ID card or a copy of ID card), proof of income of residence certification institution or proof of personal assets, and go through the relevant formalities at the bank counter. You need to fill out an application form, and the information in it must be true. After filling out the application form, you can file it with the head office of the bank where the account is opened. After the head office of the opening bank examines the application materials, it can issue cards to customers in about 20 working days. Debit card application is relatively simple. You just need to bring your own valid documents, mainly your ID card, fill out the application form at the bank where you open the account, and then you can issue the card to the applicant.
In addition, because the reporting procedures of major banks are not exactly the same, if you report the loss, you can temporarily report it by telephone or online banking, and then report it to the bank counter with proof materials such as ID card.
